You are AMAZING! Not only that, you play the guitar! I knew you were good people when I found you on CreateLive......to ans your question: not yet, but Im learning stuff b.4 I splurge on it. It frightens me. But not as much after listening and watching you. I see differently now when I shoot. I think Im ready. I really want to learn to compost an image into a Salvador Dali self portrait/ kind of abstract Iknow. But I have to learn how to create whats in my head. Baby steps.....

I actually was doing most of these tricks... but in a very clumsy way, just in the layers. Erasing away parts of them, using gradient in the selections, then deleting part of the images... the whole Layer Masks and blending layers sections were a complete mystery to me until I came across this channel. Good job, thanks!

The confusing part is when you paint it black, as you said black conceals, the document should show black paint marks and hide whatever being painted. However, it shows white paint mark (3:08). You failed to explain to your audience why.

Hi I opine, I use Luminar 2018 into Photoshop CC, or the former as a Photoshop plugin, rather than Lightroom, as I prefer working on a copy of an image which with the original I can move in MS Explorer.exe as I wish, ie delete, duplicate whatever without feeling tied to a software cataloging system.

I am using LR but the more i learn about PS the less I am needing it - It's now just as easy to start out with Adobe Bridge to organize my photo's and to take my RAW files straight into Camera RAW and from there to PS...If you are not aware that sounds like a lot but it is just as simple as bringing up LR . It's also easier to use other plugins with PS such as Topaz without using my resources to keep LR up in the background. . Love your stuff !!!

If I do (my favorite) startrail photos I use LR first, then startrail software and make the final photo in PS. With the layermask I am familiar, the way you us gray for the opasety is new to me and very helpfull!
