The polygloss is the best sublimation in my opinion. I am attempting to use sublimation on some tiles and I am unsure on how to get the tile prepped for the processs. I have watched your videos but I do not have a press. I have a cricut press only. Do you have any information or guidance on using regular tiles, a cricut press and ASub paper for making some coasters? Thanks.

Thanks for your comment and questions. I have a video on sublimating onto tiles that can help. Here is the video 👉 kzitem.info/news/bejne/r6mKsWmNkIKIfZg . I am honestly not so sure how much guidance I can give when it comes to using cricut press but you will need to give it some even pressure. For the ASub paper you can surely use 105 G or 125 G. I hope this helps and if you have anymore question please feel free to ask and I will try my best to answer.

Do you allow the wood to air dry before curing it in the heat press? What are the temps/times for curing? Great video! Thanks!
@atprints
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question and comment. You can allow the wood to dry for 15mins and in addition, you can use the heat press to give it a second cure. You can use 380F for 15 seconds. I hope this helps.

@atprints

Yes you can store the mixture. However the PolyGloss mixture has a potlife of 18 hours.

Your work is very nice. I am curious about the polygloss, which type of polyester you have, if you have any information on this subject, I would be very happy if you could share it.
@atprints
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. However, in your question, you asked which type of polyester do I have. I am just confirming that you mean Polygloss and not polyester. If you are referring to Polygloss and you are interested I can send you the links directly where you can get it and also how it works. I hope to hear from you soon.

@@r.furkanozkaya9991 here is the link where you can purchase Polygloss - bit.ly/3CYZqu1. I am willing to help you, just ask me your questions and I will surely help or you can message me on Instagram @allan21thompson and we can talk. The name of the solution which I use is called Dyepress Polygloss and it comes with a second solution which is called dyepress catalyst. Both have to be mixed so you get the results you want.

The PG is pretty colors. PG may have sealed the wood and that is why the colors are more vibrant. I don’t know if you sealed the wood pieces first then coated with the ‘top coat’ the results might be different. Great test.

Hi Allan! Love your videos and great ideas!! I have a large cabinet that I am working on and have found sublimation transfers that would be perfect. I've only used rub on transfers before and am hoping that I can apply the sublimations directly to the wood cabinet. Can I do this using either Polygloss or Polycrylic coatings? And I'm not sure what heat source I can use on the side of furniture instead of being able to put a small plank into a heat press. Thanks so much for the info and I look forward to more awesome videos!

Thanks so much for your comments, support and your kind words. I also thank you for your question. I love your ideas about the wood cabinets and yes polygloss can work for those cabinets. However, there is one problem and you mentioned it. Trying to put a piece of the cabinet under a heat press could be very difficult and will be. In this case as tough as it would be I would advise trying to stick with Oracal vinyls or transfers where you can print them seal them and stick them on. I will still try to think of a way you can use the polygloss or polycrylic coatings to help you. The main issue is getting the image pressed into the wood after applying the polygloss.

Hi Allan, the polygloss is the best. I love your videos!! I tried putting the polygloss on a stainless steel tumbler and it was not smooth when it dried. There were streaks and lines on it. What can I do to make it smooth for my design? Thank you.
@atprints

Thanks is for your comment and support. Streaks can be a problem I know for sure. Can I ask what you are using to paint on the polygloss? A paintbrush? You can also watch this video where I coated polygloss on a stainless bottle 👉 kzitem.info/news/bejne/lId9qYmtrJaKgKg

@@kyiah7 sometimes you get bubbles. What I can advise is wetting the brush before coating on the polygloss and also remember try not to put so much pressure on the bottle when coating. If you have Instagram or Facebook you can reach out to me and send some pictures of the bottle and I can help some more. The links for my social media is in the description and you can also use my Instagram name to find me which is @allan21thompson.
