I'm loving all of your Beginners Guide to Skincare Playlist! I'm seriously sitting here like I'm in school again, taking notes! Thank you for your help and knowledge. A few topics I'm interested in are eye creams, more about essence (you touched on them in the toners video, but I'm still a bit confused about what they do/why they're important/pros & cons), and I'm really interested in what to do in the morning vs evening skin routines (Do you use different toners, serums, moisturizers, and eye creams in the morning and evening ?). Again, I love your videos, thank you for all your help!!!

I am African with type V-VI skin (dark brown skin tone with reddish orange-y undertones). This is how I go on my combination/dehydrated face at night: 1. washing (donkey milk soap) 2. cleansing (organic fruit extracts) 3. exfoliating (sugar & olive oil scrub) 4. applying serum (organic Vitamin C cut with sweet almond oil) 5. toning (organic fruit extracts) 6. moisturising (organic fruit extracts) The effect is magic: my bumps sink in, my ingrown hair scars blend in, my skin is silky to the touch, my face glows until the next morning. All of this without any chemicals at all. :)

@BeautyWithin
5 жыл бұрын
Most likely the cream you're using could be a little too heavy, which is why it feels oily because it's not sinking into your skin. If after 5 minutes the product still feels heavy and sticky on your face then it's probably too thick. You can try a more lightweight moisturizer, like a gel consistency, and see if this makes a difference. Hope this helps! 😊- fel

I know you have some videos already about mixtures to avoid, but I was wondering about how benzoyl peroxide will play in a whole skin-scare routine targeted for acne prone skin. Specifially, with the serum you mentioned from the ordinary (niacinimide+zinc) and other serums, exfoliants, oils, face washes, and mousterizers. For example, can a face was with a small amount of salicylic acid, the ordinary serum, and a benzoyl peroxide treatment work well in a routine together?

Is it okay to mix the ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% together Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1?

Is Los Angeles too dry of an environment to use hyaluronic acid? I heard if the air is super dry it will actually start drawing moister from deep in your skin instead of the air.

Just in time!! All things SERUMS!! You never dissapoint me with your contents, just exactly what I've been looking for. I'm really eager to try this on-trend product but I am a bit skeptical since I have no idea how to use it or what products to use together with this one since I have sensitive, acne prone skin.

Hiii Leslie!! I (felicia here) also have sensitive acne-prone skin so I completely feel your hesitations with trying new products! I would recommend serums that are hydrating and perhaps have salicylic acid to help fight the breakouts. But chemical exfoliants are great for acne skin, but make sure you only use it 1-2 times a week to begin, so that your skin can get used to it, and then you can increase the use. Because it helps to shed the dead skin on the surface that could be clogging the pores which causes breakouts. Hope this helps! and thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel hehe 😘- fel

is it okay to use serum every night? or should I just use them if it’s needed? I’m experiencing dark spots and hormonal acne on my chin and most of time after washing my face, I would like lightly rub, like really light, and I would get some dead skin cells and it’s really bothering because I just exfoliate the other day and it’s peeling. a feedback would be great! ^_

I love you girls and your energy. So you sold me on the Caudalie Vinopure Skin Perfecting Serum. If I also use the Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Brightening Solution - how would you recommend the layering process for day and night? Which comes before or after? loving this series so much ❤️

Can I mix a Serum with a gel or gel and moisturizer together because that's too many layers of skin products on my face which is the best one and you're right there are so many out there it's so confusing I don't want to put seven layers of products on my face

Will you be adding ampoules to this series? I’m unsure where they fit in 😅

Just ordered some skin care products to build my routine. Should I buy a Serum as well or wait and see what my skin needs? I have a cleanser, moisturizer and I bought the Indian healing clay mask a exfoliate and toner. Also what’s the best sunscreen to use? A lot of sunscreens have gross chemicals and additives that hurt your skin.
