Good stuff man! I appreciate your videos. Watching from Beaufort, so most of what you're doing is applicable to my fishery too. I've had some good days on those EZ shrimps - using the weighted hook from the weedless vudu shrimps after the soft plastic of it was all torn up and had to be tossed. Tight lines!

Yeah, Beaufort is similar enough! I’ve used weighted ewg worm hooks with success. I also like the zman finesse bulletz paired with the Ez shrimpz when I need depth in stronger current. Thanks for watching man!

Much respect for the drone/fish action, and the effort to get that shot👏 And as always thanks for the details, on baits, and rigging. It really helps new guys, and old salts like myself!

Thanks man I appreciate that! The video was a slow burn but ended with some action I’m proud of. Old salt or new guy, we are all just blessed to be able to enjoy this beautiful lowcountry. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment bud.

Thanks Shane! One cast was all I needed on that tailing red. I worried I gave it too much lead but took it slow and gave it a jump at the right moment. Satisfying to see the arial view of what I’m hoping I’m doing but can’t see in the moment.

Might be but it was definitely a handicap in this situation. Could have casted multiple times to the fish but instead was patient and threw drone to record it.

@@CurrentAngling I had the same setup in my tackle box and after watching rigged it up to a popping cork. First cast near the grass and a little rat red hit it the second it hit the water. Tried it in the surf on Folly this weekend and it was getting chewed up but not by anything big enough to land.
@CurrentAngling

@jpciambra yeah, I’ve been killing in using all the live shrimp that are easy to net rn. However, live shrimp are a pain to keep alive and small fish eat them as much as big fish. I figured I’d try my best to match that bite but with artificial, my preferred method. Results did not disappoint.

Is it best to always fish the incoming tide. I just bought a kayak and want to hit the water this weekend with incoming tide at 730 a.m. I'll have live bait and shrimp/zman lures targeting same areas as you but near Sullivans Island need to find a good launch point for a kayak would you know any?
@CurrentAngling
2 ай бұрын
There really is no best tide, they all have advantages. I probably prefer a falling tide the most though. Bait is falling out of the grass, creeks, and flats, so predatory fish are waiting in ambush. This allows you to cast up and bring the bait across them in a natural way. There are a few access points on Sullivans. Station 26, station 19 on the back side of the island. Then nearby you have Pitt St on the intercostal (not an easy place to launch) also Gadsdenville/ copahee sound (avoid low tide). You can see station 26 and copahee in this video I made. kzitem.info/news/bejne/1oSvsHWvfH6Vo6gfeature=shared Thanks for watching!
