nice video. thank you. also it looks like you can turn on of the front piece 90 degrees to make an elbow. any risk in that? btw, beware of the "cracking noise" :-) i think it is from the table...

Hi there, Tee nuts are a clever invention and is widely used in the furniture industry, they can be used on a return, Ideally the harder the timber the better, and the creaking was the table.

Would this work two join Two 2x12x20 to make a 40ft Joist for a roof?

Hi Jonathan, Generally I use this for hardwood furniture, decking joists or diy projects so the answer to your question is no. However for sistering the joists you would need at least M12 or M16 bolts with a nut and square washer and a double sided timber connector all from galvanised steel, as this is for reinforcement I would contact a roofing company, and make sure it complys with building regulations. All the best Mustafa

@@diyshop839 thank for the reply. Just trying to figure out how to do my flat roof without having a support beam in the middle.

Good job using Tee Nuts. I'm not sure why there are not more videos, when using "dees nuts"....ha. But seriously.... there are a few measurements that you need to know. ....the depth of the backing/anchor board should be greater than the height of the Tee Nut. Example... if the backing board is 3/4 inch (19mm), the Tee nut "insert sleeve" height should be less than that. It's difficult to explain, but try them first, and you will know what I am saying.
