Stabilizer mode 2 is for when you are tracking your subject by panning (changing the direction the camera is pointed) DURING the shot. (stills or video). Stabilizer mode 1 is for when there is no panning intended during the shot. Basically, keep it on mode 1 unless you are shooting video, or you want to achieve a photo where the subject is sharp, but the background is motion blurred.

It seems I get faster focus when shooting sports if I have the stabilizer turned off. Has anyone else noticed this? By far, my favorite lens to use!!

stabilizer mode 1 or 2, 2 is best for video and 1? Well, 1 is best to keep it a secret....what a turkey.

Mode 1 for normal stabilisation Mode 2 for panning shots like cars and bikes Either for photo and video

I made this video for my film students and I've never seen a difference in the stabilizer mode. Best to experiment.

i dont notice any difference with is on or off. is it just very bad or is mine broken. on my rf15-35 ita a huge difference
