I started using them about a year ago and don't know how I got along without them the past 40 years

The k grit assilex papers are amazing technology. They sand so smooth and fast and don't leave stray scratches. The quality of these sanding media, (can't even really call it paper) is a leap in productivity for people that are doing paint correction. Even final sanding prior to painting. It's just beautiful stuff. I use the k600 assilex wet sometimes if the paint is a little gummy. I had a bunch of solvent pops on basecoat, so I stopped painting. It was cold here and I didn't wait long enough between coats. I wet sanded it with the DA with k600 assilex. It' sanded really nice and didn't clog the paper. Thank God it was only a hood and a tail gate and not the whole truck!

You wet sanded with the kgrit 600? How long did they last and what were the results? My understanding is the kgrit is dry sanding only but I have been curious to try them wet but they are pricey

Even with a booth you can still get nibs. Looks like a great system. Been wanting to try it for a few months now.

This is an excellent video and very well explained. Question please: Is there anything that can be done to stop clear coat from peeling? I have 2008 car with a white hood where the clear coat is peeling and the color of course looks different from where there is clear coat compared to the thew no clear coat areas. I want to sell the car (as is) but I would like to minimize the clear coat from peeling any further as along the coat coat edges is starts to peel at some point. If there's a way to get get the hood looking better that would be a bonus, but I don't think there is without repainting the hood... Thanks in advance for any advice and again, excellent video. Phil

Great work dude , what method would you use sanding the whole car ? Would you use a machine sander in the same steps?

I've used these same products on DA, and they make fast work! But you need a big compressor to be running the palm sander. Sometimes after a while your ears are ringing. Doing it by hand isn't too bad either. They cut pretty well and not a lot of scratches left behind. And the sheets last long

I don‘t understand why you used k1200 at the beginning with the toleblocl and afterwards the k1000. And i also dont understand why you grind such a large area. After the 1200 toleblock i would have used the 2000 and 3000 toleblock and not grind such a large area only minimal. after that polishing and it would have been also good
