lol. Such a simple answer, but I was looking all over for how to fix it until I saw this video. Thanks.

since OBS allows up to 4 mics... how would you get the other 2? For example, use OBS to record 4 mics for a video podcast?

did you figure this out. i have 4 mics also. I'm sending them thru my yamaha mg mixer but they all have the same levels in the audio mixers as if its only 1 mic..

@@Time2grindRadio Using a scarlet 2i2 I could turn mic 1 to the Right and mic 2 to the Left. and that was the best I could do. The only solution I can find a breadcrumb trail of is upgrading the sound card of the streaming PC. So the PC can 1, handle in multiple audio sources such as multiple audio interfaces. But no one online has broken it down on any threads. I'm going to talk to sound engineers who work in a recording studio in the next month or so to figure out a solution with them and an AV expert friend of mine

I have two mics 1 and 2 on my audio interface, Audiofuse Studio, and I am able to get both mics tested and working in Windows sound, but for the life of me I cannot get the mic2 signal to show up in OBS. I've set them both to Mic/Line/Inst 1-2 (Audiofuse Studio) and the audio meter in OBS only lights up when I talk in Mic 1. In windows Audio both mics light up the meter just find, Mics 1 and 2. Any advice on this?

This is a great tip! I never would have thought the mono button was post-pan. Based on the order of the buttons you'd think it sums to mono first. Thanks for pointing that out.

I have a question about this! So when using two headsets at the same time both equipped with built-in mics, how can I set it up so that I can hear the input from mic A to headset B and vice versa? Sorry if I complicate things, but I searched everywhere for a solution!

Hello, I have a question. My wife and I have been trying to record using two Blue Yeti microphones on OBS. When both mics are on (not on mute), the sound quality for both of us has an echo and doesn't sound good. But, when one mic is muted while the other is talking, the sound quality is great. I've noticed when both mics are on and one person is talking, both mics are picking up the sound which creates that echo. Is there a way to have both of us using our separate mics without the other mic picking up the other persons voice? Thank you

Have you tried using the noise suppression filter in OBS on your mics? I haven't experienced the issue you are having so not sure if it would work but there are lots of other filters in OBS that may solve your issue. I'd suggest searching for OBS audio filters on KZitem and see if you can find one that solves your particular issue.

I can't get this to work. Rode Wireless Pro (split mode) into Scarlet Focusrite 2i2 channel 1 out, via USB, into OBS. Everything shows up and works like normal. I added the SF 2i2 twice naming one Left and the other Right. In OBS under advanced audio settings the left/right faders are greyed out and I cannot move them.

I am currently dealing with this right now. My fix was to go through my DAW and use reaper stream to send out the audio from the daw to obs. This is such an easy fix! But i do love having the ability to mix and master from the daw.

Hopefully, someone can help. I was using a different software program, and it just wasn't working out, so I searched for other options and found this video. I've downloaded OBS and followed all of the steps in the video, but there's an issue. I currently have two microphones hooked up. Both are recognized and assigned in the Audio Mixer field. However, when I talk into my microphone, I'm being picked up on the other microphone across the large table. My microphone meter moves, but on the playback of the file, you can tell that it's not from my mic, it sounds like it's from a distance. I then went over to the other mic and started recording and then played that file, and it's close, crisp, and clear, so that microphone is picking up whomever sits in front of it. I then went back over to my microphone and in the audio mixer area of OBS I muted the other microphone across the large table, recorded a test file, played it, and this time it picked me up on my microphone. Why won't my microphone pick me up when another is plugged in? Any help is appreciated.

Why do people even buy audio interfaces? Seems so stupid when u can actually get a mixer with an audio interface. Gives u many more options when it comes to setting up microphones and whatever else you can think of.
@mikedudeyo4320
Жыл бұрын
Interfaces are used for recording usually and mixers are users for just that, mixing. You can use either depending on your use case. I need to record 6-8 variable audio sources and have them sound good with my DAW a mixer with an interface will probably not do that well. If I was just recording voices for a podcast, I’d use a mixer. Why not use a mixer for the recording then? First it’s not as feature rich and usually not as clean as a interface. Second, they normally don’t have line/mic input variety. Third, they normally don’t have more than 1 pair of outputs and a headphone out. Fourth, it’s not rack mounted so it doesn’t fits into a rack workflow easily. Those are just some reasons, I’m sure there is more.

Why use a microphone when your webcam has a mic built in? Well, just because something has it doesn't mean its the best option.
