Quick video I threw together on how to use your own wood pellets in a Tiki brand fire pit (or any smokeless fire pit I would imagine). I’ll add more details as dictated by comments / questions.
Created because I found a lot of people asking how to use wood pellets in a smokeless fire pit without it either creating a ton of smoke or going out.
The key is adding a small amount of pellets to your fire while the flames are still going pretty good. You will need to do this often to keep it going just right. And, when you get tired of feeding it pellets, just toss on a single log as needed, again, while the flames are still going well. All depends on how long you want your fire to run.
And yes, I know I called the metal spoon a wooden spoon - ooops!
Items needed:
1. Fire Pit
2. Wood pellets
3. Fire Starter
4. Lighter / torch
5. Scooper
6. Long handled metal spoon
Optional: air tight / dry storage for pellets, wood logs (smaller, dried - like a bundle you can find in a gas station, grocery or box store)
