Thanks for this! I have read the many comments about Android and ipad. I have and Android device (and a Mac) but I stumbled across and app called Orpheus which I think is specifically for Andriod. It uses dropbox for file sharing and apparently has a link to a foot pedal for page turning! You can also make up 'sets' if you were going to play a selection from say Jim's Ukulele book or similar. Not sure if you can annotate, will investigate. Anyhoo, thanks for your channel, its been a great help in many ways'

Hi Rachel, another great tutorial. One way that usually (but not always) works to limit adverts is to turn off WiFi and Mobile Data. This way, when the app calls for an ad, there is nothing to download. It may still show a preloaded ad, or a still of an inbuilt ad, but those 30 second adverts should be gone while no internet connection exists. The other way is to pay for the app you are using. Sometimes cost effective, but only if it's cheap.

Thanks Tobias, great tip. I *think* it was the screen capture app that I was using to make the video causing lots of the apps. I'm not a great Android user so will have to look into it all a bit more.

I watched this to try and see what apps I would use on Android to start using a tablet for my sheet music. I worry about your getting advertisements, I must say. I've been using Android devices sonce I can remember, never even owned my own Apple device. I've never had a problem with popup advertisements when using the Samsung system apps and just using the device in general. Of course when I used to plag games on my devices I got ads and when I use "third party" apps like the external file explorer that I prefer over the usual system's built-in one. In that file explorer I get an ad that pops up every time I open it. But you shouldn't get ads when you're just on the machine in general (or using apps where you've paid either for the app or for the app not to have ads). I might suggest calling your tablet's manufacturer and asking if they could help you out under warranty or something to try and find what's causing the problem. I'd hate to jump to the assumption that you've a virus on the device, but the default file explorer/manager of the device definitely shouldn't be plaguing you with ads at all.

My eight year old tablet does not have the issue with adverts. I am just using a pdf viewer, it allows me to annotate by adding text boxes, which works for me. I create song sheets in excel, taking the lyrics from the internet. I don't like chords in the text, but prefer to add them in columns to the right of the lyrics with separators to define bar timing. I save as individual songs, then use PDFSam to combine songs into setlists. What I would like is a page turning footswitch, when I bought the tablet the cost silly money, but I believe that they are much more affordable now, so maybe as Christmas is coming?

Nice reviews. However, I don't believe a Lenovo is ad supported. Something is amiss there. I did check with a long term Android tablet user. He confirms this is not part of the deal. By the way, is that a 10 or 12 inch model?

Hi, It's a 10 inch model. I *think* it was the screen recording app I was using to make the video, just didn't think about it at the time. I'm not really an Android user but it is something I will pay more attention to in the future, Thanks for the feedback.

Hi, yes, if the PDFs are already on the tablet you move them using the "Files" option. If the PDFs are on a PC, you remove the SD card from the tablet, pop the files from the PC onto the SD card and then you can access them on your tablet and use them in the App. Hope this helps.

Yes, for US who insist in using the imperial system, A4 is equivalent to 8.5 by 11. Or to be more precise 8.27 by 11.7. Letter size.

This is quite informative. For those like myself, who can't let go of the android, the tablet can be syc to all other Microsoft devices via cloud. If you also happen to have a similar cloud software such as Dropbox, which I use to share some if my orchestrations, you will end up with multiple copies of the file. I purchased an expensive book as a pdf file, just to find 4 copies of the book in different devices on cloud and 4 other devices; including my phone! So you may need to change some settings around. I don't know if those websites she mentioned are free, but in the US we have Musicnotes. It has a very large library with differentarrangements by different artists. You can choose the instrument and the key signature. However, the score is not free and only allows to print one copy, but I usually send print to pdf, save it as pdf and then click on unable to print and print it later.
