Good news!!
LinkedIn now has video caption / subtitle capabilities... but it doesn't generate them (yet).
In this video I show you how to generate a caption file in KZitem and upload it to LinkedIn along with your video.
Why would you want to do this? Four reasons:
1. Captions make it possible for hearing impaired viewers to enjoy and understand your videos.
2. News feeds tend to play videos muted, so if viewers can't get the gist of your videos during the scroll, they might scroll right on past. Captions might just catch their attention if the content is relevant to them.
3. Captions are a text transcription of the dialogue in your video, which is searchable by search engines (video dialogue isn't).
4. It's quicker and easier than adding captions during the editing stage.
Until recently, the only channels with closed caption capabilities were KZitem and Facebook. Now LinkedIn has joined the party.
