Just building a special roof over a surrounded front stoop. Valley comes down speed cut to my roof, and will make a slight turn for mine. Will have to weave that section because the book can't work that angle, and I can't speedd cut it the other direction, facing the main roof. And after watching many vids this weekend (I'm a remodeler, not a roofer) you still schooled me to where I know exactly how I'm gonna do it! Great job Vic, two thumbs up!

You are doing good work. You have a great pattern and your skills are A-1, but I work in a high pace production environment. Mobile home roof installation. Three of us have 80 minutes to shingle a whole roof. Some are over 2,000 square feet with up to three dormers. We are constantly behind schedule. One person throws; meaning he opens the bundles and drops shingles, the next person lays; meaning he places the shingles in the correct position. The third man shoots; meaning he takes the gun and fastens the shingles to the roof. We lose so much time on our valleys, that we basket weave. Can you give me any advice on how to speed the weave portion of our process up, without sacrificing the quality? We stay two, sometimes three floors behind production, because of valley’s. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.
@victorbettencourt6476

Wow I wish they had the jobs you guys got listen my my video of cut and valleys there's back downs and other things you could learn I guess I should show a pack back down on video so next time I do a valley with a dormer I'm going to roof left-handed and just make it a headache and when I go to the right or left I'm going to do a back down it works either way that'll save you on setting up valleys jumping over Dormers and time I'll see what I can do about making that happen and cutting books on your left hand sides of a straight edge is always going to save your time so if you follow that you save a little time this and some save a little time on that a guy tossing to you in opening up when I do it I give a guy a third and a guy should be able to grab those packages and tousle shingles right to your slippery slippery okay and run and grab your stuff to guys can work together a lot quicker than three I don't know if three guys when I think one would be in the way but maybe you got a different way to do it good good luck I'm in Arizona where it gets hot and you can't even harder they the shingles on the roof when you take him out of the bundles early they heat up quicker so you leave them in the stacks as long as you can I would like to hear more about it if you want to drop me a number

Hey I'm like 59 and I used to do like 10:12 Square in for 5 hours by myself you know drying and everything but generally we do I do 325 square in an hour and a half so I don't know 2 square an Hour 3 Square an hour if it's gravy I'm not trying to race but that's a normal pace for a guy if a guy ain't giving you eight to 12 square depending on your cut today we're not Echidna production out of that one man hour and out here it's 20 to $30 of square they don't pay a lot so you know 12 I got a video of me doing what 13 Square 14 square and 10 or 11 hours I know you guys are doing a lot more and Guy tossed and we're sure I could cut that down to 1/2 easy but if you're Maniac land I don't know that's a huge Pace I don't see how you can keep it on the nail line and supple and do the quality and if they're over reaching they should be paying you double cuz you have to push yourself all the way and out here in Arizona until you get out of work at night and I don't think you could do the quality not seeing it as accurate you got to be able to see yourself special tattoo on your hand that will crush bone you nail a knuckle or a finger bone in the middle of it with an air tool and it's gone I don't care what you do with it it ain't the same I have damaged Parts on my body from all kinds of injuries like falling through a skylight 32 ft that was no fun ride at the fair let me tell you so you guys kill it if you're doing that kind of pace

@@TimHoldbrooksJr 1. Staples on the first line of shingles. First and most important from keeping the rows of shingles from just coming off like a carpet on a windy day. Those staples are too thing and will not hold it down properly 2. 4 nails instead of 6. Needed or not, it’s always better to do the job correct and it’s says 6 nails on the back of the bundle on the plastic on installation guide by manufacturer specifications. 3. How do you work on a valley and not start from the valley? 4. Garbage underlayment. I’ve worked by and exceeded manufacturers specifications and even the demands from the inspectors that were a bit much. So yeah I would say from my experience this is mediocre quality
