Another point to make is when you touch the wall, when you hit the jump button, you need to release your movement stick/keys.
@red-death-savage6038

Question, when you say release. So I do not have to look or input my move twords that way??
@giranam0harper423
Жыл бұрын
@@red-death-savage6038 Sorry, it's strictly the left stick/WASD and not the right stick/mouse. You can look wherever as long as initially you look at the wall sufficiently to perform the clamber action and "stick" to the wall. Controller: slide jump to wall and let go of the left stick. Then jump. You can look around with the right stick but your input is very limited. MnK: slide jump to the wall and let go of any WASD key that's being pressed. Then jump. You can then tap strafe off the wall jump and look around as fast as you want.
@Soren_Hayes
Жыл бұрын
@@red-death-savage6038further tip, you don’t need to completely remove directional input. I play on controller and I’ll hold my stick all the way to the right or left (depending on where the wall is but as long as your aren’t holding forward) as I hit the wall to prevent you from mantling onto the edge of a wall and stops your character from trying to instantly vault a short piece of cover instead (like a crate)

@@giranam0harper423 You don't have to release directional inputs. You can input left or right to do a wall run then jump off for the 'bounce'

The best way I've found is when you hit the wall you put your left stick completely to side either left or right depending which way you want to bounce this allows you to wall bounce off smaller ledges without getting stuck in a mantle, it also sets your thumb up to Raf strafe after the wall bounce to go over the wall instead of away from it!

@@Burrito958 I’m not saying you didn’t but that there’s different timing depending on what your bouncing off you probably haven’t noticed, it’s not hard to wall bounce but to do it in a fight and time it depending on the wall and anticipate your enemies that’s where it gets tricky.

@@lordnoah_420_cisneros9 look up jump fatigue for a full explanation, I’ll try to explain it to the best of my ability. Normal wall bounce = slide + jump + wall bounce Jump fatigue wall bounce = jump fatigue + jump + wall bounce So essentially with a “jump fatigue wall bounce” you’re eliminating the need for a slide by incorporating a mechanic known as jump fatigue ( which is relative in majority of videos) Not sure if I explained it good but the tutorials will help lots if you’re interested in perfecting it beyond your current understanding. I’m always tryna improve/ learn more too, nice chatting

slide, jump, briefly mantle then jump, direct left stick toward direction of greatest momentum, use right stick to look in that same direction. i hope this makes sense

You’re actually wrong here. A mantle is when you climb up a ledge to pull yourself up. You’re basically just initiating a climb the immediately ending it, so it has nothing to do with a mantle.
