I kinda-sorta did this yesterday. At the touchless tunnel wash (it's cold here), I sprayed All Clean on the wheels, then I sprayed Incredible Suds all over the vehicle and wheels to dwell before I entered the wash. It really helped get it clean as the tunnel wash here says they use mild soaps. Impressive cleaning from both products. Only downside is the spray bottle that had Incredible Suds in it spilled on the way home and now the car smells like grape until I can properly clean the carpets lol

My current routine is to do a contact wash every 2 months (2 bucket wash, or rinseless), and a quick maintenance touchless wash every week (pre-soak foam, rinse, blow dry). It's not perfect but does 95% of the job with about 50% of the effort.

I do this pretty regularly with my car! I foam it and then spray some sort of rinse off protection. I usually like to drive my car around the block to get most of the water off and then use a very soft drying cloth! My car is pearl white and I’m not worried about any love marks! With my car ceramic coated and adding the wash of wax it rolls right off! 👏💦✨

The touchless method simply doesn't get a genuinely dirty car as clean as a touch wash (you admit this in another thread here).....BUT.... that's using "typical" water pressure. I'd like the following questions answered: a) What pressure would be required to achieve the same result as a contact wash? b) At this pressure, is the amount of wash marring more, same, or less, than a contact wash? I know there are many variables
@diydetailofficial

Bit off topic, but I've been using a paint cleaner cream (by hand, with a MF towel) for thorough decon, and i was sceptical about even TOUCH decon using APC & iron remover fluids etc being as effective. I've just tried an experiment though - i used an APC, followed by an iron & fallout remover, just gently agitating with MF towels. I then rinsed, and finally tried rubbing a lower section with the paint cleaner, that I know would have given up some brown grime - but my cloth was totally clean. 🕺 (I did a neighbouring panel just a few days ago just with the paint cleaner - it was dirty). Unfortunately though i don't have easy access to a hose. BOY OH BOY is it a lot of work to rinse the iron remover off with a spray bottle!! It takes many many passes and many cloths. @diydetailofficial
Жыл бұрын
Hi there, Water Spot Remover is on the acidic side of the ph scale, whereas All Clean is more alkaline. Yes this would be a great way to prep your vehicle for a ceramic coating -- with the caveat being that you would want to do all of this *plus* contact wash. I wouldn't want to cut any corners at all when prepping for a coating, so that includes wash, Iron Remover/decon towel, and Water Spot Remover which you would then rinse off the paint. If you're coating the car, I would also prefer to polish and then apply panel prep before coating. But as we showed in this video, we applied Quick Beads at the end so it was protected -- so for basic wash, decon and protection? This method can absolutely be used. Any further questions, please feel free to reach out to Yvan directly (yvan@diydetail.com) -- I know you asked for him to answer directly. This is Nick btw. Have a great day!

It’s not a joke, they make the best stuff on the market, have set a new standard in the industry imo. I was skeptical too at first but when I tried their rinseless & ceramic spray, I was blown away. They also make the best iron remover glove on the market too. I have no affiliation with them, just a regular guy who’s always used ONR & Meguiars x-wax combo, but not anymore. Check out detailing made simple’s KZitem channel, he puts their products through all the paces and the results are the best I’ve ever seen (him too).

I always wonder how easy or hard or time consuming it is to clean the floors of your workshop? The floor looks very grippy, so that you don’t slip. However, it must be a nightmare to clean 😂

It is slippery, and to clean it you need to remove it.

Hi team just an idea why you don’t use the foam cannon for drop beads so you will have better control and you will do faster 😊

Heys guys, any tips on how to make exhaust tip rusting less visible? I had a new muffler put on my car a few months ago and the exhaust tips have been rusting like crazy. Paint is all nice and shiny and the exhaust is all rusted 😂

Guys, another great video, your editing team needs to redo the thumbnail on this video. People need to know is about decon, not just a wash.

Our editing team is Nick (aka me) haha thanks for the feedback I’m going to leave it there for now because thumbnails are a pain and this video seems to be doing well:) the decon is in the title, hopefully that helps people once they see the thumbnail

Great video as always! If you didn’t use the master blaster/blower you can let quick beads fully air dry, correct? Thanks so much!

Great video. What’s the difference between ceramic gloss and quick beads? I want to know the difference & what is better to use after doing a rinseless wash. Maybe you guys could do a video on it. Should I use one or the other? Can I use both after doing DIY rinseless? Thank you.

For Rinseless DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss is best, DIY Detail Quick Beads works best when you rinse
