I'm still trying to master my slow wheelie's... I pop it up going really slow like 2 to 3 MPH pretty much full throttle all the way to just before balance point and let off just a little and I have to tell myself don't touch the brake until I've gone back past balance point...then just a light quick touch so it doesn't come back down too far so I can keep it going...

I've found sitting back on the seat just a little really helps a lot, I sit with my butthole centered on the transition of the front to rear seat...

Random question but will a slack chain make it less likely to pop up and wheelie ?
@prestigeislive7991
2 жыл бұрын
Yes 100%. A little slack is normal around 1/2 inch play, but a lot will cause less power to transfer to that back wheel and it’s not as snappy. Hope that help a little.

i see you're kinda revving the accelerator... try to find the sweet spot so you are able to barely throttle up and it will correct itself. in other words... keep the throttle down more.

Rear brake? Sure it’s not the “front brake”? I touch front brake and throttle on a clutch up at basically same time and it pops up quicker than anything.... rear brake would make the rear squat not dive the front

Popping the rear brake (right foot) causes the back wheel to stay locked to the ground and if you stop a little bit abruptly the front wheel should come up slightly, touching the front brake would cause a stopee by locking the front wheel to the ground and causing the back to come up
@Subi_doo

Clayton Smith your not locking front brake, your ever so slightly touching as you clutch up. If your doing a stoppie while trying to do a wheelie, I think we’ve got bigger issues.

@@Subi_doo Even slightly tapping the front brake would make your bike do more of a stoppie motion, you could still save it and move that downwards momentum into pulling back but it seems like it'd be bad to slam your rear wheel on the ground to push up your front wheel and at the end of the day just tapping the rear brake is still going to be significantly easier.

Clayton Smith tapping the front brake upon rolling on the throttle during clutch up, does for a fraction of a second load the front which makes it pop up so much easier. I’m not saying your wrong, all I’m saying is that I’ve never heard of anyone using the back brake to pop up the front.
