I want to tie a wire to my AC selonoid direct. I want to push it in to connect for the circuit to the selenoid, plus i need to have the light stay on when it is engaged in case i forget to disconnect it. Which wires to i tie to the selenoid and the LED in the switch? Any help? What color and terminal goes from the switch to the selenoid and which wire comes from the ignition hot? Which color wire or terminal goes to which wire to keep the LED on when engaged? I have never been so confused. How about just doing a wire diagram showing the circuits and colors? It would be so much easier to follow on the different wire connections. Some of your video covers up the wire connection.

I get really confused by your instructions. I have 5 wires on my latching switch. I want to have the power symbol and ring led on when i push the switch in and i need to also transfer power to my LED marker lamps. I have a 115 volt to 12 volt power supply. I wired the LED marker lamps in a circuit with all black wires together and come out with a single wire. I wired three separate LED marker lights blue, green and red with each wire being separate on the other wires of the LEDs. How do i run from the positive 12 volt side of the transformer to the switches, three of them to control each of the colors, What do i do with the negative wires off the LEDs running back to the switches back to the transformer? I have green, red, blue, yellow, and black wires on the 19mm switches. I need a diagram.

Is there any reason not to put the switch between the light and the ground? I’m putting some led lights in my truck bed but I have the fused power wire going directly to the LEDs and was gonna put this switch between the ground. Since it after the lights wouldn’t there be less current running through the switch? I don’t want the led ring to light up if that matters.

Could this work with Wiring revers relays polarity and door actuators
@pemble07
2 жыл бұрын
Well, if i understand your phrase correctly, with a door actuator you would need a momentary switch, which this is not. Meaning if opening, once open, it would stay powered and potentially burn out the motor, switch, etc. Same for if powered closed. This switch, when wired to both poles, does either one load side or the other. Meaning it would always have power in either the open or closed direction. You need something to stop power flow once the actuators are in their expected position. I have a momentary one I may end up doing a video on.

The reason the led has its own power supply is so that you can wire them to be constantly on, Or wire it to come on when the switch is on 😊

My campervan advice.... Don't have illuminated switches. You don't need them. You are just ask likely to forget to switch them back on to check if anything is on as you are to forget it's on because you don't have switches with lights. Anything you don't want running when your not in the van just wire a master switch and your done. The lights are irritating and not necessary in my experience.

I don't know the amp draw or wattage of your fan, but these switches have very low amp draw ratings. This is a case where you would control a relay with the switch, then your relay is what ha does the power for your, in this case, fan.

I have a LED momentary switch that I will be using for my boat horn button. I’d like to know how to have the horn working without the LED lit, and then when I turn on the navigation lights, the LED lights up. Any suggestions?
@pemble07
Жыл бұрын
Yeah, wire in your led ring to your nav light circuit. The led ring is not at all associated with the wiring of the switch. If you want it to.come.on when you push it, you simply wire the light in series with the power to or coming out of your switch. In your case you want something else to control the led ring. (Ie. The nav lights) so wire that one wire to that circuit. Generally the ignition or off of a nav light switch if that's how you are powering your nav lighting.

Is the factory hazard relay still in the circuit? If it is, you would have no need for the "nc" terminal to be wired in. You can use this switch, wire it as you normally would your two wire, you just wire in the switch led (halo) to a power source that comes on with the ignition.

When you install for real, you use those waterproof solder links instead of the screw on blue caps?
@pemble07
Жыл бұрын
Yes, I never EVER use wire nuts on any vehicle. These switches are actually used after the video, so it would be a waste to use crimper and shorten my wires for the sake of a video. Sorry, should have noted that in the video. Yes I ALWAYS use heatshrink butt connectors, AND marine heat shrink over those. We have a lot of money going under water usually, literally.
@pemble07
Жыл бұрын
Also, yes you can use the waterproof solder links. However, be aware that the Clear plastic on those connectors is very thin and will rub through, so if using the heat shrink solder connections, it's almost a must to add heat shrink over them to prevent rub through.
