In this video, I talk about and demonstrate working with modeling beeswax. At the beginning is a verse I wrote that you can say to begin working with the beeswax if you like. Also, I realized I forgot to mention that if you put your beeswax in the sun or on a warm radiator, be sure to put it on something like wax paper or a plate--if you forget to get back to it for a while and it melts onto something not smooth, it can be hard to remove!
Modeling beeswax is used in Waldorf schools in early childhood and the early grades. You need to warm it up before you can use it. In early childhood, we usually just give the children one color of beeswax. I prefer the natural color, which is golden or ochre, but there are lots of pretty colors. It can be purchased from Waldorf suppliers or on Amazon. Just be sure you get the modeling beeswax--plain beeswax won't work for this.
