I think the way you wrap the handle is very good way to do it. I have gotten into making all kind of paracord bracelets and necklaces. Adding the fact that now you are doing something with someone from forged in fire or that has been on the show is awesome. I think it's a great combination.

Thanks for selling me great Paracord through Amazon! Great video! One thing I do when I’m working on sharp blades is just fold some electrical tape across cutting edge so I don’t lose any fingers. I’m sure you do something to prevent cuts, too, and maybe you wanted to keep that lovely lil axe looking its best for the vid. I’ll write a review on Amazon. Thanks for the hand-written thank you note in my order and good prices, great selection and high quality 550! You’ll be my go-to from now on.

I recommend, after finishing a good section of the wrapping, that you wrap a bit of duck tape around it so that you can complete the rest without worrying about it loosening too much. Great tutorial, had it on my hatchet for a good few months now and has held up well! 👌

Hatchet looks great. The wrap is nice, just don't like the stopper knots. Would look better with a looped handle to prevent the hatchet from slipping out of your hand. In my opinion.

do you have a video for the top part of the axe wrapping? I can't find anything on the technic to make the cross section jointing the blade and the handle thanks ;)

I think its called a cross lashing or some form of lashing... I vaguely remember that we used similar knots back in scouts to tie the axe heads every time they fell off

Turned out nice the only thing I would of done at the finish is do a snake knot lanyard loop and come back and do a half hitch knot run back through to finish by the handle , but this turned out super sweet nice job!

Ryolu14 I know it’s been a few months but on the off chance you’re still stuck ... you may want to order online. This channel “Bored? Paracord!” has a great selection of amazing colors/patterns in quality 550. I ordered from them (or him?) on Amazon. Among other things, I ordered some dotted cord in a few colors (like what he’s using in this video) and they make unique and very cool almost snake-scale looking bracelet. Bored? P! included a handwritten thank you note which was really nice. (not affiliated - one time buyer who will def be repeat customer ... I just found YT channel right now and pleasantly surprised)
