Great tips, Tom! 👍 I'm working on adding carbon fibre to the interior of my F40 like this.

Both your carbon fiber decal videos are Very Helpful! Thank you! Question: I'm doing the Tamiya Ducati 1199 Panigale 1:12. What is your advice on making the template for the fender? Two pieces with the seam down the middle, or one continues piece?

If the shape is complicated. More pieces

One thing that no one has picked up on, the weave pattern is going different directions all over the mirrors. Prior to decaling plan out your placement for a more convincing look by matching the direction of the weave throughout the part.

It might look that way. Though the patern is matched to the one on the roof depending on the angle you look at it. Also with these mirrors and angles its almost impossible to match every surface with the next.

Good tutorial, but in my personal case I prefeer to stick the masking tape backwards of the decal sheet, because sometimes the tape could be strong enough to peel off the decal.

Use an old CD/DVD on which u stick the masking tape a few times so its less sticky

Hey great work there. I did add some carbon decals to a porsche hood but there are some stamps from the adhesive that i used. How do i clean them? Thanks
@TheScalemodelingChannel

Try putting that adhesive on a cotton swab and wipe it. Or use a microfiber towel and water

I’m just going over few of mine with new paint and graphics and airbrush. Should I clear coat after the paint then fit graphics or fit graphics then apply coating over them

I think it’s totally obvious (at least to me) that, having watched you wrap numerous pieces in carbon fiber decals, the easiest way to mimic your results is just to send the various pieces & decals to you along with some cold, hard cash, then just await their return, completed to perfection, in the post. Didn’t really need a whole additional video to explain that to me, but since I’m already here making a comment. I might as well watch it.
