In this video, I put put together my personal 10k training plan to break 40 minutes in the 10k. It consists of 3 core ingredients: volume, weekly long runs and speed sessions. I'm looking to get into the region of 70-80 kilometers per week with a long run of 20+ kilometers. However, there are some speed sessions I'm going to work on including 400-meter repeats, pyramid sessions, cut-down style workouts, mile repeats, kilometer repeats, and a sandwich style workout. The plan spans eight weeks, with five training days per week.
