I am just starting my "About me" page and mission statement. I was really stuck as to what to include without sounding sales pitchy or arrogant. I found some of my old reference letters and pulled out a few quotes that clients in the past wrote about me. They inspired me in terms of how to present myself...through their eyes! I asked for permission to use their words as testimonials on my website, and now I have something to work with when creating my story and unique approach of how I serve my niche. Pat, your video tips provide me with a simple structure to organize all this information that naturally leads my readers to a point where they choose to click because it's genuine. Thanks!

Thanks, Pat! I think that of all five things you mentioned, I haven't included (or even considered) four of them. The most important thing: the About Me page is not really about me. That's completely mind-changing! Thanks, Pat!

Thanks for such a clear outline on how to write the about me page. I had modeled mine on others I had seen that was written in the third person. I see the benefit now of writing in the first person as if you are having a conversation with your avatar. Thanks again.

I like your idea of writing as if having a conversation with someone in your audience. Pat's course 0 to 100 taught me to quit thinking about my target audience as an Avatar and thinking about them as a real person. At first it was scary because we were reaching out to people we knew and who knew us. Eventually it became super fun and the people who responded have helped me so much.

I didn't have an opt-in form on my About page. I hadn't mentioned how my coaching will help the potential client transform her life or business. I didn't have a testimonial on my About page! My personal story wasn't as streamlined and direct as it needed to be. Thanks Pat!

Mine was more like a resume. Changed it up to relate more to my audience. Still don't have an opt in form on my website so I will be working on that. What I really learned is that an about page isn't as much about me as it is about what I can do for my audience and getting them excited about going on this journey with me.

Hey there "I'm Pat" - thanks! I have an about page, but this inspired me to create a complete makeover to mirror what you were talking about. I have an incredible story and after looking at my about page... I didn't even share it... what the heck? These points are so logical, but in my case and I imagine in so many others, they are overlooked. Thank you for explaining the details and breaking this down into something that is uber easy to understand. After all, it's all about connecting and when you break down pain points, and identifying these pain points in easy-to-understand terminology, you gain followers and fans... :-)

Thanks Pat, Creating my about page today... I will write my story out several times. In 2012 I healed from a severe 8-year sinus infection (bypassing surgery) and went down 5 pant sizes at the same time. I did not understand how that happened because I was just treating my body for adrenal healing. Over the years I have put all the pieces of the puzzle together. That is an important story to tell. Thanks for helping me understand what/ why I should be saying on my about page and teaching me how important my story is. Loving your course "Build Your Own Brand"...wow can not believe its Free and how much help it is. PS-not one website builder in the last 10 years ever asked me my story #teamflynnforthewin
