My guys thanks for uploading this great video. I am on the hunt for a TSX at my local yards and this is so helpful as I have never pulled an engine in a junk yard before. I hit the like button 3 times!!

5:00 Most of the time when I am at u-pull yards I will do that to disconnect the axles rather than dealing with the main nut. The longer you take getting stuck on something, more likely someone will be waiting for you to walk away and get it for themselves. Feel bad because I did it to a local guy who got hung up removing a crv trans cause he didnt know about the one hidden 14mm on the bell housing. Besides I view axles as disposable wear items anyways and brand new oem styles ones are cheap enough.

@@BucketList22 garaged as an extra car. Like the guy I got my ep-3 off of. Dude had three cars and his wife made him sell one. What I meant by that is everything nowa days is so replaceable that nobody takes pride in what they own anymore. Hence why I assume an older person owned it due to the condition of the interior alone. And it's all stock.

That Milwaukee impact gun can take that axle bolt like nothing the problem is your battery it's a low input you need to get a Milwaukee high output xc 8.0 battery and up for heavy jobs.

Hey Robert i have a question. Is it possible to use k24a2 cams on a k24a4 head, will VTEC work normally like in an A2 head?
@enginehead9966
4 жыл бұрын
KSWPAE86 i think you would need to swap the k24a4 cylinder head to the k24a2 head for that to work. Im not sure if just switching the camshafts would work though
@theepicyoutubization
4 жыл бұрын
Aside from small exhaust and coolant features on the block and manifolds, it'll bolt up fine, vtec should work fine too. Still wouldnt do it tho, use a k20 head witht he k24a2 cams. Way more info and swap parts available and you'll likely make way more power.
@enginehead9966
4 жыл бұрын
James Mulvey i am in the same dilemma. Im working with an 04 accord 5 speed and just want some more power without going full race car. So basically i can throw in the camshafts from the tsx into my accord and everything should be fine???
@theepicyoutubization
4 жыл бұрын
@@enginehead9966 sure can I believe, most of that stuff is like Lego. If u want to rival the tsx on a budget Go to a junk yard and get some tsx injectors ( rail may not fit, but no harm in trying),intake plenum and throttle body. (The part connected to the throttle body with the big bubble before the runners, not the 4 runners, also connector for tb may not fit from tsx to accord so you may have to use the accord one, not sure), a Hondata or other tune (there's another one on the market that's supposedly better now, do research), and a set of cams from a tsx. Get it tuned ( pricey), and you'll be hanging with the big boys. I actually put an accord 5 spd in my tsx because the ratios and final drive was better, its a good tranny. Beware tho the accord internals are a little weaker than the tsx's, but not by a ton, so id be hesitant about goofing around with launching, rev limits, fuel and spark timing, and vtec points and timing, it gets risky and I toasted the valves on my 07 a2 and had to swap it out for an 05 a2 for the time being 😷😷
