How Variable Frequency Drive Inverter works / VFD Motor Control Explained.
By using the #VFD (#variable_frequency_drive), induction motor can get its speed controlled by changing the frequency of the voltage used to power it.
#VFD_motor_control for AC motors, have been the innovation that has brought the use of AC motors back into prominence, with easy motor speed controlling.
At first, VFD converts fixed AC supply voltage into DC voltage through a rectifier bridge.
Then, DC voltage is filtered and smoothened through capacitors and inductors before transforming back in to AC voltage through the inverter part of VFD.
Resultant AC voltage is not fixed and is maneuverable to get required magnitude and frequency for the motor speed controlling.
Operation of VFD is explained here in this video with clear and descriptive manner with interesting animation work.
