As someone with crohns, it’s rare to see people of notoriety talk about it. Having struggled with it majorly through various flare ups I appreciate Vik spreading awareness about it.

As someone with severe, severe Crohn’s I hope people would open up more. I have had Crohn’s since I was 4. I’m 26 now and it has been one hell of a ride. Didn’t really speak about until I was 18…the way the illness resolves around toilets, diarrhea, poop, blood, severe aches etc. it’s a really hard topic to discuss about, people take their lifes as granted. It has almost ended me on several occasions. I have tried 10s of different medications, diets etc. without really anything to show for it. I’m 10+ surgeries deep and have had a stoma since I was 16. I’m fighting, I study in a uni, have lovely friends and a family. A big part of this disease is the ”invisible” side. I look like any other uni student and none of them know what I’m going through; my next surgery is in 3 months time, here we go once again. I have luckily also been in contact with mental health professionals for years already, thank f for that. We fight on and never quit. ❤

I unfortunately have very bad crohns I only got diagnosed last year and had multiple surgeries from which one didn’t go well, I’m now living today with a stoma, some drains in my torso draining fluid, a massive wound at the centre of my stomach and I am fed on TPN (feeds nutrients through my bloodstream) so I haven’t actually eaten proper food in over a year. Crohns is a real pain, nice to see people talk about it.

Diagnosed with Crohn’s during 2020. The last four years have been so scary but also looking back I can say it completely has shifted my mindset in life. Yeah it sucks to know it’s a lifelong condition, and it really does compromise every aspect of life when flare ups are prevalent. I’ve watched the sidemen my whole life since they came together, and I never knew Vikk has been dealing with this. Thanks for sharing your story Vikk! And to all my brothers and sisters in the comments who also suffer from the same disease! Please remember you are not alone, and that it gets better over time! Learn how to love yourself, love your body and take it easyyy ❤

There is, your Crohn’s could be so mild that your healthy friend can have more symptoms than you, but it can also get so severe that you are on feeding tubes with IV nutrition and a stoma, your whole intestines can get borderline dead and for some people none of the different medications work

Crohns vs telling people must be hard while its easy to accept and understand its embarrassing to tell people ur shitter doesnt work properly. it can be fast easy quick long whatever the day happens your gut can become problematic and people dont understand its ur internals not just the Shitbox. one moment your good one moment ur in a hour hell of praying it goes away at the bathroom (speculation) n yet you just wont ask the question. "so bro hows ur shitter doin the day you good for today or feeling off?"
