Not so, all felines give signals with their tail. That dramatic swishing of the tail is due to the brain function signalling a preparation for an attack. If you have a pet cat, and they get annoyed at you, usually before they swat you, their tail is twitching, or swishing aggressively. So, not playing. As for the people making sounds to call the lioness back, so stupid was that man. If it hadn't of been for the wire, that man would have found himself screaming in fear. The lioness, was giving a ⚠️ warning. Stay back!!

I wouldn’t of kept coming to the fence pestering her. She clearly didn’t want to be bothered. Unless I had a piece of raw meat that I was going to give her, I woulda just left her alone. Has she of been able to somehow get thru that fence, things wouldn’t of played out well for you. 😂

I don't think its torturing. I know the lion may feel little unconfirmable but that's bit playful. Lions hunt a lot in wild and they never stress they have more and more energy.

Stressing an animal like that shortens it's life expectancy. Leave it alone unless you're feeding it.
