For anyone who is on the fence about these, just do yourself a favor and get one if you can. Biggest time and back saver! I also have super heavy clay with random rock pockets and can barely get the tip of the shovel in the ground. Beware though, once you have an auger you'll want to put more beautiful plants in the ground 😉 Thanks for another great video Jenny!

Thanks so much for showing us each one of these augers and explaining how to use each one. I can't afford to have all of them, so I decided to pick out the 5" as I can use that for different sizes of plants and I believe I will use that one most often. My back (age 71), is thanking you already!!! LOL!

We only have an 20v drill and 3 inch auger. You would not believe what we have done just with that combo including trees. It’s all I can physically handle, but it works.

Good morning, Jenny ☕️ I absolutely LOVE my Power planter! I ordered one for myself and my sister was amazed so I called Power Planter and they gave me 10% off for her! Super awesome company and, there is a “Laura Edition” now too! It truly is a gardening game changer! Have a Blessed Day 😊🐶

Good Morning Jenny. I love my power planter. I bought one of the kits about 2 years ago. Yes, it was a lot of money at the time but it was well worth the investment. It has made life so much easier. There is no way that I would be able to plant as many things in a day without it. And the safety feature is a blessing here in our NC red clay with our hidden rocks, bricks, etc. And the battery backs last for forever or at least for me they do.

Thank you Mavis for that wonderful testimony! There is no at that I could plant the number of plants I do in a day without the augers.

The Power-Planter has been a game changer for me. I have rheumatoid arthritis and this has given me the freedom to dig and plant without having to ask the hubs to help or me wait for him to get around to it. A word of advise, when Jenny says use a drill with an “E Clutch” do it!

Between Gardening with Creekside and Garden Answer I gave a power planter auger a shot last year. Game changer. I use my 7 inch auger and make all the holes for my tomato plants, drop them in and cover them with the lovely fluffy soil and am able to do 3-4 times more than with a shovel in my clay/rock soil. One thing that really sold me on these is that it is fully welded along the shaft and not spot welded like others I have seen. Apologies Jenny if you mentioned that and I missed it.

Love the power planter augers and drill! They are wonderful! We have the other 60V mixer/drill with e clutch. When I first saw them on Garden Answer I was a bit reluctant because she doesn't have the red clay soil like we do in the south. Plus I have a lot of trees around so id have to worry about roots. It wasn't until I'd seen you use them that I decided to give it a go. Now I absolutely love them! The E clutch is a great feature to have. Thank you for presenting these and demonstrating them on your channel. I definitely recommend them!

Thank you for this video! Watching your videos sold me on the auger, but the drill part confused me. Using a drill for piddly stuff is way different than the garden soil. I am older and not as strong as I once was so that handle looks like a must have. Thank you again! ❤

I have the drill and augers. I am 73 and absolutely love the augers. Definitely need the handle to stabilize. I can now plant rather than pay someone else to plant. But be careful. It will stall.

Thanks for the video. I’ve been wanting to get an order for a couple years now, but I haven’t been able to work it in the budget. Something always comes up. But I would like to know once you do get them and you have multiple augers. How do you store them? Your demo rack looks great but if you have more than one auger, what would you do with the other ones? And not everybody has access to purchasing a demo rack. I like things very neat in my garden shed because it’s so small and I have a very little room to turn around so everything Has to be in its place.

Please remind folks that only have a normal drill, be careful around any possible root areas. I'm just now able to put pressure on my thumb, after wrenching my wrist 2 weeks ago on a fairly small root. I must say, I've not had a bit of trouble with my 3 inch Power Planter in our nasty Ohio clay. Roots are sneaky devils, though! 😂

I would have to say if you are 40 or older don’t use these, because I used a small one got hung on a root and tore my rotator cuff and some other tendons in my shoulder. And I am pretty strong. But having the right drill and knowledge can help. Like she said don’t go full force because you Will get hurt.
@GardeningwithCreekside

Being that Jenny and I are 40 and older and we use them all the time I would say age has nothing to do with it, no corded electric drills or cheap drills without torque settings, plus do not go full throttle
