Thanks to your videos I can say to myself "I am a runner!". I've been running seriously for a few weeks now (with "from sofa to 5k" in mind) and I care nothing for speed or distance (its nice to check after but it's not the goal for me). When i say seriously, I mean with intent, regualrly and its in my chalendar so i plan for it. I have been running before, but then just occasionally and not with any goals in mind. This time, I have several! one of my goals (for now) is to be able to run for 30 minutes straight without having to stop and walk. Later I want to be bale to run fast enough so my dog will have a nice even trott next to me (she's really good at following me when i got the running gear on and the leash round my waist). I think it will require about doubble the speed I've got now to get to her pace, but I'll get there, eventually... very slowly! :)

I think you're selling yourself short. I agree with what you are saying, but watching your videos, I see a tremendous amount of talent in what you do (including producing these videos). This cannot be bought or trained for. I will nevertheless try (in case I am wrong 😀). Thank you and Godspeed!

For my wife and I running meant getting up early before work to get our runs in which meant going to bed early which meant cutting most of the TV time out ....sacrifice is worth it ....we now look so forward to our runs and getting our healthy food g prepped and the strength training also....good video...

Timely. I am going to be retiring soon. Yes work is good and I structure my training for triathlon around it. Now when I retire I must structure my time around the no work area. Your tips will help me. I follow your training but in my own older age group way to avoid injury. Cheers.

For me running was a result of moving to the California, start a family (unexpectedly) and then being hit by a pandemic. In my nearly 3 years of running I never had a run where I thought I don't wanna do it or hated doing it and now slowly but surely running became an obsession. The only thing that bugs me with myself is that I cannot for the life of it make myself a training plan and stick to it especially when it comes to strength and conditioning. When I have an app (NRC, Garmin Coach etc) where I can check a box every day I am happy but when I write it down myself then I just ignore it. Life is strange

Wow, look at that muscle! Looking strong. Goals. Working on my upper body this year. I love the reminder that challenges change us for the better. I need that advice for my new job on the days I want to quit. Instead I can remember, that I will grow through the challenges. Do you have any 5k training plans for getting faster? Just started a 6 race winter run series of 5ks. Had been hoping to get down to low 20s for time. Aimed for 27 min today. Ended up with 25:22! My summer trail runs really made the road race feel easy this morning. Which is good cause my routine is off from my new job. Step one fix that habit. But also I ended up getting 4th place in my age group. My dream is to get in the top 3 at least once in my life. The person before me was a full minute faster so I’ve got some work to do.
