@@MSpencer1998starting on a racing block like that is for performance, starting standing is vastly inferior so it's not about saving time standing. Moving from a stop to a sprint is much different than maintaining a sprint, it requires much more leveraging of force to initially accelerate hence why it's more efficient at the start to use 4 contact points even though it'a more efficient to run the rest of the race upright.

@@gengis01 Youre taking this way too seriously; bro said 200,000 years and was obviously joking. But if he wasnt, *if we arent extinct by then,* we will be a completely different species in 200,000 years. As it only takes about 500 years of generations, for a SINGLE Human Bloodline to become inhumanly adept at something and spread he genes. E.X. - The oldest Water-DiveFishing-Tribes can hold their breath for 30 minutes at a time. A modern mixed child could easily hold their breath for 10 minutes. - Households with ~800 years Archery backgrounds in Europe have proficiently developed back muscles, making it easier for them and their offsprings to win Archery Competitions. - The Purple-Black skin color charactericstic of Africans native, only took around 1000 years to exist and become hereditary. Now changing for a Region specific trait to a World Wide trait. - The villages that live in mountains thousands of meters above Sea level have better Lungs to survive the pressure. This lung improvement only takes like 200 years to occur. Etc etc etc. The human body adapts extremely fast, and we are Horriflyingly efficient at passing down our Genetics. If 4 legged running really became "mainstream" with more than 100 weirdos doing it, it wouldnt even take 400 years for us to "Evolve" into running 4 times our current top speed just by crouching.
