Hi! This video was made like... four months ago but I never actually uploaded it because there was stuff I wanted to add to it. I never got around to do that though. (。々°) So! Here's the stuff I wanted to add and correct, but in comment form. 1. This video only covers one (and was at the time, the only) branch of tool assisted speedrunning that was active, which was the Any% category (plus some TAS exclusive rulebends like exit+re-enter). There are also other speedrun categories that I haven't covered though. I highly recommend checking out Eunice recently released video of his Any% NMA TAS, which abides by all the rules of that category other than, well, it being tool-assisted. Go check it out!! kzitem.info/news/bejne/qo-ksYupapdhjaA 2. The recording for the TAS that was of this video's interest is released on Conqu3red's channel! kzitem.info/news/bejne/p5mavIlrqXN7eII 3. Correction for 1:29 - Falling Road _can_ be done on the dump truck and the bulldozer! If you watched the Any% NMA TAS, you can see that Eunice has proven its viability. At the moment though, there isn't a reliable set up for the dump truck falling road strategy, so it'll take some more time before it might be proven viable. 4. The TAS code and utilities shown starting at 11:18 were well out of date even during the time of the video's creation. Most of the important features were already implemented even in the first version though, that I managed to roll with it for the footage. Lastly, thank you to everyone mentioned in the video, and to the community, as they've for making all of their respective discoveries and strategies.

Working on this project has been so much fun! We've pushed the limits of possibility in world 1 beyond where I ever thought we could. I'm excited to see what this community will do with the other worlds! A note about this TAS: we created it using a custom tool I wrote named TASer. This tool allowed us to more efficiently create the run in Poly Bridge 2 and it dealt with the recording issues. Currently, this program is not publicly available but I do intend on releasing it at some point in the future. Thanks again for being such a wonderful Speedrunning community!

Woah that ILM stuff looks crazy, I wonder how you'd ever find a setup like that 🤯 Actually tho glad to finally see this come out :) speedrunning pb2 has such a high skill ceiling even without ilm or tas, so I love actually seeing the absurdity actually pulled off optimally

If I had a nickel for every speedrun strategy with the acronym “BOOB”, I’d have 2 nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

This might be a weird comment, but wow, the only videos I’ve watched before this were your collab with Aliensrock teaching him how to hydraulic, and the videos where you teach us how to hydraulic from 2 years ago, and the first thing I noticed in this video is that your voice has filled out really nicely. I’m sure you also have a better mic than you did in those earlier days, but there’s a rich bass tone that teen Arglin definitely didn’t have. I’m digging the audio setup so far (I only made it 20 seconds before having to say something), keep it up!

Thank you! :) The funny thing that I noticed with my voice in this video is that it does start pretty deep but then gradually picks up as I continued. Not really sure why this happens as this is all from a single recording session, but I guess I can always blame it on the "morning voice". That being said though, I did switch from using my webcam to using my phone for this specific video, so that might've helped a little bit with improving the quality a smidge. :p

LibTAS does support unity games but this support is quite limited. Creating a custom tool also meant we could more closely hook into game events and make programming the TAS easier.
