he Maharashtra government has fast-tracked the ₹1,276 crore Sewri-Worli Elevated Connector projects, which are destined to be commissioned before 2023. The State Minister of Tourism and Environment, Aaditya Thackeray is the Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban District and the project is in his Worli assembly constituency. The project is planned to connect the 4.5-km-long elevated project with the two sea links - Bandra Worli Sea Link and Coastal Road with the under-construction Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, to cut down on travel time. In the past seven to eight months, during and before the tendering stage, Thackeray has held several meetings with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) officials to convert this long-standing on-paper project into reality, after which on February 21 this year, state CM Uddhav Thackeray laid the foundation stone. This project involves displacement or rehabilitation of people along the corridor's alignment, including that in his constituency, which the minister wants to monitor without hampering much of their daily lives and income
