@@11Hand1e11 "these are honest raw videos of you in intimate conversation." You don't actually know that, to begin with, because you don't know how honest the person is being, there is no real way to know, as you don't know when people act like their true self and when they don't. Even if the idea is to be raw and honest, that doesn't mean people will actually do that, and they can't be forced to. But yeah, honest and raw, these vague descriptors don't really prove how you can know a lot about a person from a video clip. If I see a 20 second sound byte from a politician, can I just opine that it's honest and raw and then proceed to judge them as an entire human being based on the words and perhaps some body language? It just seems like you judge when you feel like judging, and whatever the thing you're judging, no matter how short the clip is, you just think of it as honest and raw, without knowing what the relationship actually is between a video clip and real life. I mean, I could judge you as a person from your KZitem comment, but I don't think I would be successful in doing so. I can have some strong opinion about something you said, and just insist that this is who you are in real life, but I don't know, I'm just guessing. I don't know all the nuances of what changes and what doesn't change from a person's comment vs. real life, I don't have a full grasp of the differences in variables in each of those situations and how significant each one is, and given how complex life is, it's worrying to me to react to that with a lot of scepticism. "To try and force someone's opinion, to make them conform to your world view, to take away their choice in the matter, is ultimately, denying their humanity." I guess it depends on what you mean by "force." If you threaten to kill them, then yes, that's wrong. If you threaten to break off a relationship, then it seems like your difference in opinion was just part of your standards. You wouldn't necessarily want to stay with someone whose values go against your fundamental worldview. Perhaps you think that that worldview is wrong, but the person who holds it would not find a reason to compromise their purpose just for someone else. In any case, since people break up over many different things, it's pretty hard to tie this to humanity. If a woman wants a man to be able to fix a car, then she may break off the relationship if he doesn't learn how to do that. It doesn't seem inhuman, and in fact, one would expect human beings to make choices about who they want to be with and how that aligns with what they want overall, and how this affects who they want to be with. And liberals and conservatives get into very heated debates, but there are a lot of people who say everything politics, and that since politics will affect a lot of people, it's actually quite good to try to persuade, even if it "denies their humanity." I mean, political debate is about as heated and as forceful as it gets... it sure seems like sometimes a person will kill you over a political view :), with how mad some people seem to get over it. "and if your partner values religion, then that's something you need to either be able to accept, and if you can't, you shouldn't be together." And how is this different from what he is doing? If he stays together then he is accepting her values, if he breaks up with her over it, then they will not be together as you suggested should be the case. What is the option other than staying together or breaking up? He might stay together and continue to complain, but by staying together he is still allowing it to be a part of the relationship, even if it's a part he doesn't like. And she is always free to leave if she doesn't like how he's talking to her -- he is not taking that option away from her. They're not necessarily getting along, but either person has an out when it comes to that -- anytime people don't get along, they decide to either put up with it, or leave, and if they want good results, then they need to think carefully about their decision, because their fate is in their own hands. "Have you ever considered, that when she answered that question, she avoided saying religion because she knew you would immediately shoot her down?" And being immediately shot down would not change the fact that the question was answered. Instead the question shouldn't be answered and she can just answer whatever question she wants? I mean, again, the conversation is supposed to be "honest and raw," right? Now is not really the time to avoid situations you think are comfortable, you are supposed to embrace them and work them out in these conversations, and if you don't face that now, in a setting meant for it, then when WILL you face it?

I feel like the girl on the right had the most spark in her eye when she asked the question "how would things be different if it were just us" and I remember the guy from the other video, he is terribly controlling and gave so many red flags, so they should really dump him, imo. They could still be poly and find another guy or girl but he just seemed..... toxic.
@derekg5563
4 жыл бұрын
@Emily: You're assuming that they are not attracted to the controlling. You are looking at it from a distance and you are not actually in their shoes, so to you, you are not getting a sensation of his dominance, but when you are actually in that situation, you directly experience it. So his domination won't serve you because you are watching it from afar, but these women are not watching it from afar but are actually involved with it. It's like watching a daredevil. You are not experiencing the risk and are just watching something, so you can't see the value for him as you just see it as a risk. But for the daredevil, they are feeling adrenaline and such because they are actually in that situation rather than watching the situation. What is happening means more for the daredevil because of their direct, personal involvement with the thing that you are watching passively.

@Nyambura Kinyori: But to be more free, there needs to be less domination, but with less domination, you have less stimulation in a lot of ways. It's like the feeling of being lifted and carried by a strong guy. The feeling of being possessed by something else can elevate your experience beyond what you can give yourself, and can almost feel like encountering a deity or spirit, experiencing something you can't on your own. Women often like to be challenged, or else it can get boring for them. They don't want a pushover, so freedom isn't something to get blindly excited about when you think about the cost that comes with it.

Yeah, I rarely comment unsupportively on this channel and I note these girls saying it's what they want but ... 1. Do their parents even know where they are. Look how super young they are. 2. Males in these types of arrangements tend to be manipulative, controlling and get the better end of the deal. I'm male and I'm suspicious. I can indeed see these girls love each other.

My family knew and so did his. But hers, no. I was just her "good friend". And yes he was very manipulative. That's why it ended the way it did. I always stood up for myself and he realized I was a bigger pain haha

Why is the Skin Deep channel posting a couple video knowing they broke up months ago? I feel its dishonest. Video was posted 2 days ago they broke up in February 7 months ago. I realize you filmed it before but this should be mentioned at least in the title.

Interesting. Why? They’ve never done that? The viewer always wonders if they’re still together, sometimes doing their own independent research online. We really can’t even assume the video subjects are still living...Do you think status updates are something they should start doing for everyone?

It's true, we often release {THE AND} sessions some months after they're filmed as we schedule and shuffle content around as we work to edit them. We release our content as a single shared moment in time between two people - regardless of their current (or past) status. We ask our viewers to take what they will from the conversation itself, not the circumstances outside of the space we created for that conversation to occur.

The first red flag I see here was when they talked about if things turned out to be just them what would happen. The girl on the left went straight to the sex part and how it would be vanilla if it's just them. If your mind goes straight to sex when talking about something referring to love, the love, 9/10, is not real. Also heard they broke up, so just be careful. Everyone has a different love language. But, sometimes confuse the variations of love itself with lust. Just, be careful who you give your hearts to.

You guys seem great for each other. I really suggest you guys reflect on your relationship to Stephen, however. He doesn't seem like a healthy person to be with. Forcing you to change your personal religious beliefs and always having the last word isn't tough love, it's toxic. It's your right to be able to think for yourself and have your own opinions on things. If you can't even bring this up without him shutting you down... yikes.

Omg! Just as I thought. Yeah it's rough because I get how bring bisexual and having a lesbian relationship can be fufilling but also missing something that you have when in a polyamorous relationship.... so it's tricky Maybe this could still work just with out him, yet with another man that respects them on the same level as they do with each other. Since for me Steven comes off as he could potentially be very abusive towards them as time goes on. May this be verbally psychologically or even physically. Which I pray never happens. However for sure Steven needs to heal before being in any relationship. There has to be some unresolved hurt. That is showing up in his relationship with these 2 lovely ladies. It would suck to not have a healthy relationship/ dynamic all because one has not healed from their hurt, because hurt people hurt people. Never the less I love love these 2 together. Not so much with Steve in the mix.
