In response to our video "Is Every Employee a Potential Thief?," New York Employment Attorney and Mediator Nance L. Schick discusses some of the things employees do to destroy employers' trust:
1. Padding timesheets
2. Doing less work than agreed
3. Showing up late or leaving early (without noting this on timesheets)
4. "Borrowing" employer funds, regardless of the intent to pay them back (including charges on the company credit card)
5. Fibbing about injuries or disability to get workers compensation
6. Working a side hustle on the employer's time
Your integrity isn't dependent on others' actions.
