We need to understand what depression is.You expected something to happen and it did not happen. In other words, you are simply against what is happening; that’s all. Maybe you are against a person, maybe you are against a whole situation, maybe you are against life itself. Accordingly, the depression will run deeper and deeper.
In yoga, depression is handled at the level of the body, mind and the energies. If the necessary balance and vibrancy is brought about in the physical, mental and energy bodies, to be blissful is very natural. In a blissful being, depression can never exist.

I'm Kanika, a certified Classical Hatha Yoga Teacher from the Isha Yoga Foundation (Coimbatore) founded by Sadhguru, an organization dedicated to raise human consciousness by yoga and meditation.I also freelance as a corporate consultant, actively promote a healthy lifestyle on social media and experiment with yogic recipes in my kitchen.
I explored and learnt yogasanas from different schools of yoga including Iyengar and Sivananda yoga for several years.I went on to pursue the Hatha Teachers Training certification from the ISHA Yoga Foundation in Coimbatore, which is the most comprehensive and rigorous teachers training program in the world, and is designed by Sadhguru himself. Isha Hata yoga teachers undergo over 1750 hours of intensive training in classical hatha yoga practices and aspects of nutrition, human anatomy and the ancient science of siddha medicine.
I am an engineer and MBA and worked as a consultant for eight years. I turned towards yoga to pursue a holistic career choice and particularly to offer yoga to relieve the stress brought on by a hectic corporate lifestyle.
