Fat outside the heart is not what causes heart attacks. That is from plaque buildup within the blood vessels of the heart. However, all that fat on the surface of the heart would tend to make muscle activity more difficult and that could result in cardiomyopathy and potentially heart failure.

Yeah in those on keto diets. Keeps you looking slim but the high fat eventually builds up inside. I've been on a plant based diet for 2 years, low fat, no oils or butters and low on processed foods. All of my numbers are perfect, in the athletic range, visceral fat is a 1.

Your liver stores 8 hours worth of glucose for energy and when its gone and you don't eat then the body takes the visceral fat and converts it into energy. That's why fasting or just not eating for more than 8 hours is very good for you

It's very easy.. although you don't get to decide what kind of science is preformed after you've donated. Call your local hospital and they can typically refer you to who can help with after death body donation. They will ( in most cases from the # of areas I've researched) will also cremate and mail you the "remains" for burial or what ever of the family member once teachings are done. Typically with in 1 year. There is no cost for this. My dad signed up for this so my brother and I also don't have to pay for his body care.

You need to do sprints and cut carbs to target visceral fats. You need to release special molecules called myokines from maximum effort exercises to signal the body to burn this stuff. Endurance runners, vegans, people who eat carbs can be skinny but full of visceral fat. look up Sean Omara - he's dedicated his life to getting thousands of people to get rid of visceral fat... with MRI scans as proof. He's the real deal.

Been on a weightloss journey for 6 months. 43 yrs young, 6 foot 1, 240 lbs with signs of fatty liver/poor liver function😢 6mo later, down to 219 lbs and still going hard with 20 more lbs to go. I refuse to get sick and die from eating like shit, disease caused by my own ignorance. Life changing food choices and increasing exercise will save my life. If anyone is struggling with weight signs of fatty liver (visceral fat), you can change your circumstances, your liver can fully regenerate regardless of what doctors tell you-you just need to 180 your lifestyle, eating habits and sedentary way of life. Eat green, eat clean, eat protein.

They should put images like this on the back of every junk food package the same way they do packs of foreign cigarettes
@iclynnx
3 ай бұрын
The thing is, what is junk food? Any food is bad if eaten too much of. A burger every now and then isn't gonna ruin your body, even if they're considered "junk food". People's bodies also work differently. Some gain weight easier, some find it harder. And then there's people with eating disorders. Imagine what it'd do to people who think they're "fat" but are already thin as can be. They'll lose their appetites more. Eating should be enjoyed, not feared.
@iclynnx
3 ай бұрын
And I will tell you this too: eating a varied diet of fish, chicken, vegetables and soy-based ingredients of too much quantity will still make some people gain weight, the same way too much pizza and burgers will. It's about quantity, and variation. Eat a healthy meal most days, not too much, and then sometimes enjoy a fatty food like a greasy pizza. And of course, lifestyle is important. 15 minutes of movement a day, minimally, is recommended.
@ToastJelly

@@iclynnx with the exception of some medical conditions which affect your hormones and make you hungrier and therefore less likely to resist your cravings, you have complete control over how quickly you lose weight because you have control over your metabolism. If you exercise, sleep enough, stay hydrated, eat whole foods, and maybe drink some tea, you’ll boost your metabolism. Junk food is food that is made like crap and makes you feel like crap. Full of refined sugar/carbs, trans fats, chemicals/preservatives, and/or excess sodium. Eating five Big Macs vs five homemade burgers on whole wheat buns would not even come close to being the same in terms of being unhealthy. I truly don’t think you’re stupid. So asking what is junk food and trying to compare it to real food is a bit ridiculous. Eating is not just for enjoyment, it’s to fuel your body. Is it nice to enjoy your food? Absolutely. You’re right that you can enjoy junk in moderation after healthy meals. Even then, junk food is literally addictive. It’s best to avoid it for the most part
