Hi Nick, I've been watching this and your last video with great interest because it seems to be the only video about a hp-risc machine that involves graphics output and hp-ux on youtube :D I'm currently trying to get a HP Visualize FX10 pro to work in my HP3000 A500 server, which seems to be the exact same hardware as a HP9000 A500 server. And these machines share the same architecture of the C-Series workstations. I just could not manage to get the console redirected to the graphics card and also none of my USB PCI cards seem to be recognized by the system... Could you maybe take a look into your machine and try to find out which kind of USB controller chip it is using? Because without USB I have no way to connect a keyboard to my machine since it has no PS/2 or USB connectors onboard. I'd be very thankful :)

I have a C3600 that boots CDE I can post a video later this week. I did some disk cloning that I should probably document for other people.

@@joetoney184Nice! Looking very much forward to it :) I sold the Visualize FX10 already. I have done some research and it turns out that HP3000 machines are firmware locked to be "minicomputer" equivalents only. It is impossible to output the console through local graphics and input on a local keyboard. So if anyone is looking to do this with one of these incredibly rare machines there you go. Will not work. Get a serial terminal, thats the only way to interact with it besides the LOM.

@@audiocrush, I do not know which card I have but it's a single slot VGA card and it acts as a serial terminal if the monitor and keyboard is connected until HP UX boots. For CDE to start after booting you need to have a mouse connected or X11 will complain and fail to start.
