Finally you got hold of one.😊 Yeah, its the same one I use. Course I put in a 2TB HDD.👍 Ill tell ya something with this one,its quite capable but brute cpu power will only get you so far even for emulation. When it comes to the higher end emulation I think the cpu is still more than capable on this but its the graphics holding this one back. A dedicated graphics card is a benefit when upscaling those PS2 games, and PS3 etc. Course theres no room for that internally on these mini's so we have to use the intergrated graphics, which can still run a lot of PS2 games at 2x,and gamecube as 2x and some higher. I still havent bothered with ps3 on mine though. But I have xbox on,some run at 2x as well. 3DS and a handful of Wii U. Recently started putting some PC games on as well, through Batocera, theres a process to it,incase you havent looked into it. Its not just a matter of dumping them in the folders. Some work, some dont through Batocera but my win600 handheld runs PC games faster through Batocera than my i7 6700T. Despite it only have a 1.4ghz cpu,2 cores 4 threads. Must have something to do with graphics surely then right. On my win600 I can run PC version of 2013 Killer Instinct quite well,on its low graphic settings ofcourse,on my HP G2,to slow. Same with a few others. I have my win600 running Batocera internally on a 2TB SSD. I dont use windows or steam on it at all.

Yes it’s a decent chip that makes inroads on higher end emulation. I have had pc games running on batocera but yeah it’s a work around way of getting them on and I gave up as most were failing to work. Would love to get quake 3 arena running though.

@@HumanoidMachines Tried Quake 3 Arena on win600 Batocera, wouldnt boot. But it booted and worked on the HP800. Dunno about online, guessing thats a no go anyway but it did boot and run for me. But this was with a portable version, most of the PC games Ive been trying are in those portable folder type ones. Not the installation type, those are a bit more mucking around to get them working But the portable folder ones are much easier, only need to create the autorun file.

I see that you had an i5 6500T and the i7 6700T. Can you tell me if it worth the upgrade? Like, a I play Skyrim in the same i5 and most of the time runs at 30-60 fps and i considering doing an upgrade to the i7, can you help me?

@@brunosantosdasilva4754 I’m not familiar with that game. The 6700t is a boost in performance which brings it close the performance of the i5-7500t. Using both ram memory slots give a performance boost too.

So swapped out the 2TB HDD I had in my i7 6700T for a 4TB SSD. Have loads of extra storage to play with now so I decided to revist ps3 emulation. Actually have a quite a few running on it now. Some run full speed, some run close to full and others that run a fair bit below full speed but dont factually feel slow as well. You know what I mean Im sure. Also sone work better with vulkan and sone better with opengl. Ofcourse I still wouldnt recommend the i7 6700T if ps3 is your priority. I think its mainly the intergrated graphics holding it back when it comes to ps3 emulation on this. Also, when you delete ps3 roms sometimes the game data is stil stored. Remember how on ps3 some games still install on the hdd.Well same here,so even if you delete the rom from the rpcs3 rom folder you need to check for additional data left and delete that,if you want your storage space back. Its in system/cfgs/rcps3 and one of the folders there, forgot off hand lol A few other systems may do this too. If you install Windows games for eg.

That’s great info. I’ll be sure to check out any leftover ps3 installs. 4tb ssd, lol, that’s crazy, I’m gonna have to one.

Humanoid Machines - could you write what emulators you used and graphics settings to make it look like in your video? I'm asking because I have a DELL i5 8500T - and my results are not as good as you. Best regards and I'm counting on your help - Krzysztof

Can I suggest SFF builds with low budget GPUs for emulation? I'm planning on building one but got no idea what gpu to use.

I had a Hp sff i7 a while back but found it to be too large and not as quiet. It was quite powerful and the onboard gpu did a great job but I much prefer the mini’s.

Hi, can you help me? I want write batocera to usb stick and boot in from it when I want to play. Question is - is it possible to load roms\games from normal ntfs hdd while using usb with batocera. I want to have access and manage library of roms in windows 10 and when I want to boot batocera - just plug usb stick when boot pc. Is it possible? Is there downsides? And how to do it? Thanks! I want use it on Dell optiplex 3080 micro with intel i3-10100T (would upgrade it to i5-10500T in future). Right now I use HP 8300 usdt with i7-3930K

yes you can. Create a symbolic link to the roms folder in the window partition in batoceras /userdata/roms. Make sure to respect batoceras folder structure in windows. Example: ln -s /media/windows10/roms /userdata/roms I would first copy all the batoceras roms folder in windows so the structure is intact and then populate it with roms.
