You skip over the bit where you attached the steering linkage to the metal horn ? I've got servos with metal horns but they've only come with the threaded bolts to attach the horn to the servo , and not threaded bolts to attach the linkage , and the linkages on the savage are plastic so they use a self tapping type screw , what size threaded bolts/screws do I need to fit through the linkage and the horns ?

Hi! Awesome video! So I got my savage ss .25 out and I'm looking to do the brushless conversion also. But on a smaller budget then your budget. Lol a budget for rc hobbies! lol ! do you have any advice for me to keep the cost down? And the Kershaw website is closed. Do you know where I can get a motor mount and conversation kit? Thanks a ton! Liked and subscribed

I convertet my Savage X4.6 to brushless and most stuff i bought on ebay. Got the original Twin Plate for the Flux HD and a original Batter tray. Motormount is from Turnigy bought on Savageprofi.de. All together around 150€

@@SchakkasRCGarage Is there any reason you went from nitro to electric as I ❤️ my Savage X 4.6 personally. Depending on what motor you get, F4.6 has almost got 3hp and goes over 45mph. I think 3ph from 4.6cc is absolutely insane if you ask me, aaaanyway. So if you want to run it for hrs on end, then all you do is top the tank (which takes around 5-10 second) and Wheelie away. Where as if you wanted to do the same with LiPO's, then it'd cost £100's, you'd have to stop everytime the batteries go flat and mostly the potentials of carrying around something which could quite easily out of no where catch alight and explode!! 🔥💣💥 I know electric is always better and more powerful. But personally I thought the idea of using something outdoors is that it's loud and proud n you have to fiddle with it every now and then to get it funny just right 😉👌🏻

Unfortunately I don't run this truck anymore. It was such a money pit because I had to convert everything to electric. At the time of this build, HPI was being sold so they were not making anything. I had to improvise on some parts but it ultimately conquered me. I yanked out the electronics to use in my Arrma Outcast/Notorious Ebay buy. I'm on the fence about the new Savage XL 5.9. I miss nitro.

@@kakorc3599 oh nooooo Man and your build was soo well did I asked as I’ve been using the Arrma 6s HD servo saver spring and it’s a nuts worthy upgrade Such a shame as Hpi parts are back in stock all over now with all their late stuff sharing many of the parts we needed back then💯🙏🏿

@@gonzodetroitify Ya it is a bummer that I lost all interest in it. I did do anything RC for a few years because we got really into the desert. I thought RC was an expensive hobby lol. Anyway, I'm more into the Arrma stuff now but the Savage may be resurrected in the future 😁
