Thanks mate! 😊 In this one I tried to just focus on the driving and having fun, and also just make a really fast edit. I started cold sweating when thinking of how to accurately produce a map in the middle of the water... 😅

Thanks mate! 😊 I think it's the FPV goggles that makes it so special. The track can look so different when you drive from inside the car 😀

@@paddlesworthrcpark8215 This was the best track I made this year. The other ones were a bit too slow and short. this was more open in a way. I liked the long section going into the junction followed by a 90º corner. 🙂

Thanks mate! 😊 Yeah, was tricky but a lot of fun! Temp was below -10ºC this day, the powdery snow banks just swallowed the car whenever they got the chance... 😅

Hey terrific Ice rally there. Were you wearing the FPV gear? I could not tell, but I thought it may be hard to see the entire track from that vantage point with out it. Cheers

Thanks mate! 😊 This was FPV yes. That's the only down side with snow, it gets harder to see the car. The higher the banks, the wider you have to make the road to get an idea of where you are positioned width wise If driving LOS. In FPV the trickiest thing was to see the gradient of the bank, where it actually started. Because of the low temp, it didn't pack and stack too well. Was more spreading out. A couple of times I was certain I was on the road but the bank still pulled me in..😅

are there RC rally car FPV races? Cos that wold be cool being able to see each drivers POV.
@Weekend-Driver

It would be possible, and the benefit of having the camera already in the vehicle means that it wouldn't just be a big weight, holding you back. It's just part of the car. I'm not aware of any races right now tho. Which is a shame... 🙄 Well have to wait and see what the future brings! 😊

Quick question. I’ve finally got ahold of one of these rigs,6 hours of driving but whatever, what mods have you done to her. Any common failures/parts I should carry. Thanks in advance have a good one👌✌️

Nice! The front body posts sit very close to the edge of the bumper bracket. If hitting something and the body / posts take the impact, the bracket can break. Also in the front, raise the body up if you can. You see how my front looks... When landing on the nose after jumps, the body has folded under the bumper and eventually snapped off. So aligning the body where it's ok to break to the underside of the from bumper can be a nice feature. The steering knuckles has a T-slot for a nut which the kingpin screws are threaded into. The slot can create a starting point for cracks so you either wanna have spares or put som alloy buts there. I have gpm an integy on my cars. I also changed the C-hubs because they're different L/R and I wanted to carry less spares on the move. The C-hubs aren't weak tho, just bad if being far from home filming. I think those are the most conmon things. Might depend on which end of the car sees more impact. Hope it helps! 😉

hehe, far from it mate 😅 I run hpi 109747, gymkhana tires. It's a slick tire with slight cuts in it. At least they had cuts when the were new. you can barely see them right now. I don't care so much about the absolute grip, I just want the balance and feeling to be good. Then I'm happy 😁
