Hey Ben! Am I imagining things or did you upload a newer video with different scene files you had been playing around with? If I'm not crazy, I remember really liking those settings and would love to know what they were. Got a new camera and forgot what I was using lol

just recently bought a HVX200e. Been trying to get to grips with it last couple days. Had already downloaded the Barry green DVD somehow through some link I find whilst researching & it was very helpful, especially the tour of the camera. Just made getting it going that much easier. Your video has also helped me, thank you. My only concern is that I know nothing about colour grading but I guess that's something I can learn.

so i had bought a basically brand new hvx200ap in January (only 67 hours) for some reason when i import the footage into premiere pro ill notice when the im filming something in action the background of the image is glitchy almost like bars moving across the screen (not the zebra thing). i record at 720 60p 60fps and 1/120 shutter speed what do you think could be the problem. i can send you test footage if need

I have the hmc154, I can not find how to put me in 720 60p, I can only put me in 720 50p, is it the maximum? On the hmc150 you can do it, so it would surprise me if on the 154 you can't...
@BenJonesVideographer
2 жыл бұрын
The HMC154 must be a PAL locked camera meaning you can only do 50p (which isn't the end of the world) if you want 60p and 50p you'll wanna get a HMC151. I believe that can do both

I’m running 1080p/ 60fps on my hvx200. But my footage is coming out a little noisy. What do you think it could be?

Possibly your gamma curve or your gain. The OG HVX200 is shit in low light sadly

@@BenJonesVideographer I just seen that you replied! I’ve been switching back and forth with my old one(I have two hvx200’s). But anyways. Does that mean I should lower my gamma and gain? Or does that vary on the environment

also the syncro scan setting are you ever changing that or do you only adjust the shutter speeds and leave syncro untouched?
@BenJonesVideographer
3 жыл бұрын
@@anbu100 so Video Cam is the one most people use because Film Cam is used with the 720pn setting, so you can do in camera timelapse. Other than that there is no reason to use it
@BenJonesVideographer
3 жыл бұрын
@@anbu100 and regarding Syncro Scan, you use syncro scan if you're filming an old CRT monitor and you're getting those weird bars moving across it. It's basically a very precise shutter speed tool. Since most people don't use CRT's anymore you don't really need to touch it
