Lists are very useful in HTML. They make up the foundation of many things we create in web pages like nav bars! In this tutorial, you will learn about the 3 different list types that we can create in HTML5 and the differences between those list types. This is foundational web development knowledge that you should learn before moving on to other web dev languages like CSS and JavaScript. Looking for more tutorials? I have many on my channel: kzitem.info

One thing that is kind of messing with my head is that element inside of an element. Despite being within the element it's affecting the space outside of the element. Just wondering how that works. Sorry if this sounds a bit dumb. I'm coming back to these HTML videos because unfortunately I lost my way in the CSS series and took too long of a break. So now I'm trying to get through each video slowly but surely to make sure I understand what's going on.

I think the description list element is very underrated, I started using it recently when I have a name-value pair such as displaying a product details, also, it might be worth mentioning that according to MDN we can wrap the dt/dd group in a div element which is useful for Microdata (I just recently heard about), Global attributes and styling, Thanks Dave,

Good suggestion! I always prefer the semantic section element over div when possible, but I'm sure the same works with both. 🚀

Hey Dave, I hope you see this and it does not disappear. I am finding that the prettier extension is not working in VS code. I suspect it may not be in a trusted workspace. How can I put it into a trusted workspace? I spent a couple of hours trying to figure this out and am at wits' end. Please help me out with this!

Strange. I have not had this issue. VS Code usually tells you / asks you about a workspace trust issues. I'm not sure if that is the culprit. Prettier usually works after installing the extension. The extension page documentation goes over many of the settings, too. If all else fails, I would Google for Prettier set up issues. I wish I could be of more help!
