Now that’s a good batch of bullheads. Not that many that big over here. Finally found a few morels to go with brookies and asparagus. Gotta love spring!!!

There are alot of good lakes with big bullheads. I've always loved vanetten for them. I catch alot of 14s out of there. My biggest was 17 and that was off of Vaughn. Alcona pond is supposed to have a bunch of big ones. I'll be trying it later this season

My late father loved those bullheads, we would fish for those all day. Then we would clean them and eat them with corn on the cob, and baked beans!!!! Those are some really nice ones👍

Wish I was there, hope ya post another vid. I’m going out for crappie and gills first time I’m my boat. Went last week and my motor would only go in reverse!!! Loaded it back up and had it repaired.😵💫

Very cool. I remember way back when I was younger my grandmother would have us kids catch a bunch when camping and help clean them.... then she would fry them up soon good.! Nice work man...!

Bullheads are dam good eatin. I soak the raw chunks in chalula hot sauce. Then a dry cornmeal breading.mmmm. love your channel brother!

We did the old fashion gut, skin, cut off head. My dad had one of those skinning plier tools. Grab in mouth with pliers, grab skin with tool and peel!! This was 60’s and they weren’t that big!!

Lt I still have one of those old skinners, good sharp fillet knife works for me now. Them are some big bullheads all the way. Finally got into some nice native brookies, asparagus and morels. Breakfast is going to be amazing.

Those are the biggest bullhead I’ve ever seen. One time I smoked a bunch of bullhead, and it was some of the best smoked fish I’ve ever had. I would love to see you smoke some bullhead sometime LT.

My uncle's irrigation pond had bullheads in it. When my mom wanted some fish she would send us over with a pail and worms. Mmmm Mmmm. Haven't had them in years now.

Sure do!!! Bullheads will actually bite all day long especially if you get in an area where they congregate. I'll be fishing them all day tomorrow

Do you have to cut out the dark blood meat or a mud vain when you clean them. or do you soak them in anything overnight like buttermilk? Like a cat fish? Or just cook them battered and deep fried?

I never have, when I skin them the majority of the mud vain come with the skin and I just fry them up

They all taste the same. There are actually 3 kinds. Blacks, browns, and yellows. Blacks are the biggest normally
