The part of this vid where you bring back the "life" of this mill with fire in buckets, and fire on wheels with that awesome music... awesomness. Watched that part 3 times. Makes us participate vicariously in getting our boots dirty, exploring times gone by, and breaking a window to live it all again... vicariously vicariously

It is mind blowing to see such a place, to think man can build such colossal places. My father worked away from home in a steel mill after he left the coal mines. I had a glimpse of were he was those weeks he was gone from us through this excellent documentary. It is always wonderful to see the places and history you share.🖤

With your unique and impeccable style, cinematography, editing, and musical choices…you have created a fitting tribute to the many lives that were intricately bound into the story of this place. You frame perfect windows into an earlier time, fraught with mood provoking contrasts and the detritus of a period where men battled the elements to create materials to build a future very different from the past. Sadly, once again, money for the owners triumphed over the hard work and pride of these men, forced to find new ways to provide for their families. You never disappoint, and always inform…thank you for quality content, and stay safe out there.🖤🇨🇦

I always call you the masters of urban exploring :] as your films are so professional, informative, so emotively narrated keeping the viewer hooked and interested in the stories of the places you explore. I have done many explores myself throughout the Uk & some in Scotland and Wales also on a road trip earlier this year including some amazing mansions with stunning antiques inside them that other explorers have not managed to access. The places you have shown throughout Europe leave me with a wanting to experience them myself.

Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your exploration videos. I live vicariously through you! But seriously I take to heart your comments at the end of the video. It does take a team to do great work and it is righteous to acknowledge others that contribute to making all these great episodes meaningful. What really stands out is the research and background your team provides to convey a complete and full story for the viewers. There are other so-called explorers that will video a building with no commentary or stupid commentary and with completely uninformed commentary. You are so far above and beyond. Just "wow". Few years ago i lived in Lorraine and Gandrange was a famous place. Your video is beautiful, and it's good for the story of this place. But i have a question, when have u recorded this video ? In the last drone plan we see two chimney from the cokerie of Rombas. But those chimney was demolished in June 2021. So i dont want to imagine the aciérie today. It's sad for the history to see this big factory demolished, but i think its important for the Lorraine, this region can now continue to after the steel industry.

My papa worked at a steel mill for most of his life. They suddenly required extra education then almost immediately after fired everyone and shut down. They tore down everything simply for money. It was an absolute betrayal and destruction of an incredibly old steel mill. There was the original infirmary that was torn down simply because only money mattered. I hate this industry outsourcing. It has ruined my state. I live in the "rust belt". What an awful name given for company greed

Thank you so much for this splendid video. From the Narration, the History lesson, the Video artistry to the choices of Music. Yet another fine example of supreme Documentary making. Splitting the History into the 5 acts is pure genius! Here in England, one of my Uncles worked in a near by steelworks, which also had its problems too, then subsequently closed leaving hundreds of workers loosing there livelihoods in the blink of an eye. Sadly my Uncle took his own life due to feeling his self worth had been stripped from him. He had worked so hard in the industry all his life, just like his generations before him. It all brings it home how man can build such enormous complex structures, but yet when times get hard or wrong decisions are made, then lives are shattered and Buildings just left behind in the aftermath. But! Thankfully we have BWT to bring us such breathtaking videos to show us all what we rarely get a chance to see. I'm so proud to be a Patreon supporter of these brilliantly talented people. Thank you for all you do.

Since this place was closed in part due to asbestos, I’m glad to see you wearing masks and respirators when in enclosed places. Like offices and control rooms. This place is massive! I loved the contrast between the molds and mosses and the natural decay. In terms of the politicians failing this plant and it’s people., Mr Sarkozy was just convicted and sentenced for crimes of corruption and worse while in office. No surprise he couldn’t be trusted here. Great exploration. Having the stories and the before images added a lot, so thanks to your new French colleague. Bring on more castles and manors!
