Huichol Style beading originating in Mexico gives a beautifully textured, netted effect to your designs. This is obviously a free design on my channel but many of my subscribers have been asking if I can do a PDF as that's how they prefer learning. So there is a PDF available for sale in my Etsy shop (the link is a little further down in the description).
In this tutorial I show you how to make a 6 petal flower and then show you a simple way of joining them together to form a cuff. I also show you how I added in my clasp - (although I need to say - there are no rules when it comes to adding your clasp , you do what works for you. Add more beads if you need your design longer; use a small number of beads if you're trying to keep things to a smaller size.
Materials:
*3 x different colours of 11/0 seed beads (Duracoat Galvanised Champagne, Duracoat Galvanised Silver, Fancy Frosted Pale Seafoam Green)
*20 x 3mm Fire Polish Beads - Crystal full Labrador (These are used to join the flowers to gather and to attach the clasp - which could be done with seed beads or other beads indoor stash)
*Sliding tube clasp with 3 attachment points
*Beading Thread (Fireline 6lb)
*Beading Needle (Size 10)
I have made Huichol style Daffodil Earrings too:
