I've got both hultafors and gransfors bruks axes. The Hultafors has kept it's edge far better. They build good axes. Sandy

I recently ordered a gransfors bruks small forest axe online and was contacted within minutes saying they are very sorry but the online shop hadn't updated to being out of stock blah blah blah... anyway they refunded immediately with a sincere apology. I purchased this axe yesterday from mytoolshed for just under 50 quid after watching many reviews and struggling with UK stockists of Gransfors. all the comments here give me more confidence in my purchase. Cheers all

There isn't enough difference to justify the price of the Granfors in my opinion. I am sure you will love your axe ;) Thanks for the comment.

I agree 100%... and the price mytoolshed sells these for I'm surprised they have any stock left. got plenty of 3mm leather here as well ready to make my style of sheath I have made for my other axes and handle protector.

It's a great axe. I have the Classic Hunters Axe and the Classic Trekking Axe. They are my preferred choppers. I've gotten rid of all the other axes I had except the Husqvarna Carpenters axe which is made by Hults Bruk. Also, as a side note Hultafors owns Hults Bruk and they make all the axes for Hultafors and Husqvarna.

😂 The hammer is rounded for pounding off skin of animals. I've never used it in this manner but you could.
