Fantastic video as always! Your talks about Humic bring to mind the “experiment” you did a while back showing your Humic in solution versus “soluable” Humic products. I can still remember how the other products fell out of suspension rather quickly. Your full disclosure is one of the reasons I work with your products, and your honesty is appreciated. The other reason of course is that they do truly work. My biggest regret, as far as lawn care, is that i didn’t take many before pictures of my lawn when I moved in last year. But the quality of my lawn now does have people stopping in front of my house to compliment me. I always suggest your products and take very little credit. Thank again. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for sharing the knowledge. I am a new home owner and started my work on my poorly maintained lawn (by the last owner) which basically had no grass and had only moss and weeds. I am in pacific north west, Seattle which has mostly cool and wet weather conditions. My lawn is shaded by trees which adds to the shade plus my lawn is north facing and hence it receives very little sun (except for summers). I added a french drain to improve the drainage of my lawn and all the efforts over spring did pay off to an extent. My lawn has clay based soil and hence I want to know the best way to condition the soil. Would you recommend tilling with compost or do you think top dressing with organic matter + humic acid would work ? FYI: I have become obsessed with lawn care and want the best looking turf in the hood :) Please help :)

Does granular humic wash away before it does its job, or build up in the soil and is useful over a longer period of time? Or something else? In sandy soils, do you generally see low levels of phosphorus and/or potassium? Or is it still highly dependent on pH and other factors that may hold those elements or let them wash away?

@Lawncology
4 жыл бұрын
This come down to soil/crop needs. It’s very easy to get equal amounts of pounds down with both analysis, but the liquid at a full pound would likely cause burn as it is already solubilized and therefore “hotter”. You will have a faster effect with liquid but would need to apply at more intervals if you were going for the exact same amount of pounds as granular. Typically you have greater efficiency with liquids and when you judge the turf by overall look and health, you would find that over the course of the season, you wouldn’t be applying as many pounds as granular due to increased intake efficiency of liquid. A 10lb of liquid 15-15-15 has the same amount of nutrients as 10lbs of granular 15-15-15

@@Lawncology I just did some research on it and was pleased to see that it works with underground drip irrigation systems. I'm considering the rainbird xfs system. Not sure how long anymore until I renovate. Between soil and irrigation for 5k sqft I'm looking at 3 grand already. To do 15k is going to be probably closer to 12 to 15 as the backyard is worse. I'm thinking I need to start reaching out to some companies to see if they want to use my yard for marketing purposes to get it at least mostly paid for. Any experience there?

I can't wait until the day some of your products make it into Ontario Canada. We have absolutely nothing like this stuff available on the market. 2-4D is practically impossible to get for Residential use. Haven't seen Surfactant's in any stores. Humic acid? ha good luck, not around here. It's why I have high hopes for your products making it to market here, Ontario basically crushed all herbicides for residential use, and none of the companies care to invest in more environmentally friendly things such as your liquid aerator. It's all strictly Scott's granulated crap.

Trying to pizz off Humicar Doc? LOL

Ha! No. Humichar has a place as with all things. It always depends on what your going for. Humichar will likely be best as a Soil colonization tool. Getting some of that carbon down and incorporated into the soil is very positive.

@@Lawncology 10-4 on that. I just was busting on Doc (a little) for his over- pimping of Humichar, PGF Complete and Superjuice. Anybody can dump the kitchen sink on bermuda and get some results. I kind of like to consider cost vs results also.

Richard Gleason weighing the cost is important. Honestly cheap granular fert and biostimulant liquids to enhance will pretty much dominate anything out there
