Absolutely you're alright with all of your observations. We Filipinos just want to live simpler life, not worrying so much about what we have or what the future brings. To be happy not with material things but togetherness with family members and relatives. All we wanted is happiness bec life is too short for everyone. You can never be wrong especially when you put God first in everything you do. God promises He will direct and crown your efforts with success. We hold that promise from God, the reason why Filipinos even though materially we don't have much we still have that happy smiling faces, we believe LOVE among fellow men is what keep and bring us together in PEACE.

Being a Filipino/Spanish, I One Hundred Percent Agree. I have been to 14 different countries and I learned that the Filipinos are the most hospitable. It was only in the Philippines that a Filipino Family who I don't know invited me to eat delicious food in there home during a Fiesta. I mean, it did not happen just one time, it happened Three Times in a day. Filipino Families are proud to share their Secret Family Recipes of delicious foods. This does not happen in all other countries I have been to. The Filipino People are the most "HUMAN" among all other world Ethnicity. I love Filipinos.

i heard a malaysian linguist say: "the land divides and the sea unites". simply put, because of greed for land, people are divided. the opposite is so true especially in south east asia which is basically surrounded by water. because of our maritime culture that is deeply embedded in our collective psyches, we tend to help others in need as if we were at sea where human life could end in an instant. it is also common practice, in precolonial times, for a fisherman with a catch, to give to another fisherman who turned up empty (even if they don't speak the same language). this goes beyond hospitality. it's as if south east asians are hardwired for survival on a collective level.

When we visited the Philippines and used the public toilets we ran into the same issue about the lack of toilet papers. I think the custom is to bring your own toilet paper so we went to the grocery and bought our own. In some establishments there would be cleaning ladies who would hand you the toilet paper if you ask for them and if you don’t have your own. I’ve seen standalone bidets (usually you would see it next to the toilet) in Europe, but it’s not so common here in the US. What’s becoming popular is the Japanese toilet. Glad to hear Fannie is enjoying her stay in the Philippines. 🥰

I think this is, by far, the most sincere I've seen in an honest opinion video. I've seen quite a lot of honest opinions from different nationalities with different backgrounds, but not on a spiritual level like this. Yes, the Western countries are more fast-paced and progress-centered --- and to be able to experience the laidback vibes of the Philippines, as Fanni said, one can really feel the sense of community here. It has its pros and cons, a fitting trade-off between technology and human interactions on a deeper level. So excited to see more of your travel vlogs in Visayas! Take care guys!

Just my opinion, not to be contentious with original commenter; but, I LUV Fanni’s hair. So silky, soft looking, long & smooth glowy. I also have enjoyed her wardrobe, like today the eyelet. I’m so glad it seems back in style past few seasons. I adore eyelet. It is practical (ventilated) & pretty. I also liked some of her other outfits, even just the tshirts but there was a dress or a top/tunic in Sagada maybe? & an outfit she wore in one of her first outings after arriving. Can’t recall specifics anymore🧠😶🌫️, but I recall thinking -I luv her style choices.

If i may add, since you pointed out about toilets lacking sanitary papers here in the Philippines which is to a certain degree true in some areas, i’d like to point that in Europe, you cant use toilets in restaurants or stores unless you are a customer. You need to pay atleast €5 to be allowed to pay. Btw, i was able to visit your country as part of a tour package. Its beautiful.

Even Japanese are shock with the Pilipino toilet and the water dipper we called locally "tabo" 😄😄😄😄 There are more motorcycles in lndia.. 😃Typical upper class Pilipino family that belongs to the so called "rich people"..usually don't mingle with the average C/D class Pilipino citizens ..u can just count on your fingers how many "rich Pinoy" people who are really friendly/mingling/kind that really try to reach out to be with the common/low and poor class Pilipino citizens..sad but true. So, rich people have their own world.. that is why it is best to be with middle/low class Pinoys, you will feel much happier that way. Pls.take her to Tagaytay...plssss😊

Not really. The Japanese also have a traditional tabo - the hishaku. Like almost all countries in Southeast Asia. They use it in exactly the same way as we do, for bathing and for cleaning (and in ancient times, a separate vessel was also used in the kitchen for drinking). Like most Asians, they too prefer to use water, not toilet paper. City-living Japanese people may be shocked though because modern Japanese toilets incorporate the bidet into the toilet, so they don't need to use the hishaku anymore.

Great to hear that Fanni and yourselves are (still to explore many places [if you haven't yet]) and staying "for a few weeks…months" because the impression we gout out of the video title was this was nearing Fanni's visit. Are we to expect NCR (Metro Manila) videos soo, then Cebu? In any case, as we are right smack in the wet (rainy) season with the crazy typhoons over north and south-east of the archipelgao-yes, interesting to see Fanni deal with torrential Philippine rains [ *and* (potential) floods, but c'est la vie-we know you'll enjoy your travels and experiences but wish you all safety always ü Cheers!
