I love rewatching season 4. there are just so many feelings & emotions that can come from each individual episode and the characters we get introduced to are so full of life 😍

Season 4 is also my favorite for so many reasons: -The Karasuno/Inarizaki match is, like you said, very action-packed. For me as a former volleyball player, it was fun to watch just for the variety of plays and its technicality. In Inarizaki alone, we see some very advanced volleyball skills (I'm thinking specifically of Atsumu here, but there are other examples). -Hinata's development of a growth mindset which also allows him to better his rivals (Hyakuzawa), himself (through reading and locating the ball), and his teammates (his in-game receives and his overall optimism). -The emphasis on how one's mental state affects their play; it's another way that Furudate expands their characterization, but more than that, it's inspiring to me as someone who deals with their mental health on a regular basis. That even their most boisterous character struggles and deals with times where he's depressed is something I find refreshing because it allows me to identify directly to Tanaka's character. -Kita and his monologues -Tanaka Saeko--best older sister and certified goddess -The development of a rapport between Hinata and Tsukishima--This one might be a little more nuanced compared to other aspects of this season, but I believe that one benefit of Hinata at the training camp is how he bonded with his peers while observing them. Tsukki repeatedly voices internally that when Hinata does something, he's always pushing Tsukki to do something (even if Tsukki says he hates that). When Tsukishima asks Hinata to help the group out after hours, Hinata does a double take because it seems out of character for Tsukishima to ask Hinata for anything (except maybe to shut up). But this is just the beginning. In the Inarizaki match, Tsukishima and Hinata work together, and in that moment where Tsukki is so tired and Sunarin is trying to hit, he internalizes, indicates he can't stuff Suna, and states, "So you better be back there" to Hinata. Even after the match, I find it very interesting that it's Tsukki narrating about Hinata (and Kageyama). I enjoyed re-watching s4 with you both.

I totally agree!! S4 is my favourite so far too. I do hope they get to animate the whole manga cause there's another arc besides the match against Inarizaki that I love and I'd love to see you react to. Also yeah, it only took *four seasons* for Hinata to learn the basics of volleyball xD If I may suggest other sport animes, Run with the Wind (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru in japanese) and Taisou Samurai are two short animes that are very wholesome and give me Haikyuu vibes. Thanks again for your reactions!!

Ayeeee I'm glad that even though KZitem was a bitch for not telling me about this video when it first came out, I still managed to find it by accident myself. I might really be fated with all videos Haikyuu. I'll keep it short cause I literally have nothing else to say after all the lengthy essays I wrote under each of your videos, but I will say that your Haikyuu reactions are among my favourites, and I watch A LOT of Haikyuu reaction videos. Like, hundreds. Thank you for all your sincere thoughts and recaps on your favourite moments in Season 4, your personal standout characters, your reasons for this season being your favourite so far (I guessed correctly when I thought to myself that Season 2 was a contender for first place), and ALSO for not shitting on the animation in Season 4 like a lot of other people have. Hinata's development is far from over and I can say with confidence that Season 5 will reach epic levels as well. I'm pretty sure that the announcers said in episode 25 that Karasuno is now in the top 16 of the country because they beat Inarizaki, and if they win their next match I'm guessing they'll be in the top 8 or smth, since the number of teams winning will be halved in the next round. But hey, that's all I got for y'all I'm eagerly waiting for the arrival of Season 5, there are many more moments and things to look forward to in the next match ;) Have a great day you guys!! I'm excited for the tier list and I'll definitely be there to comment as well!!

I always enjoy these conversations you do after the seasons you watch, definitely the best complement to the reactions. I also consider 4th my favorite season. I love the pay off of their hard work, I feel like the majority got the opportunity to shine and show growth as players. And that receive of Hinata's was the best. I loved the match with Inarizaki, I felt for both Karasuno and Inarizaki and I was surprised to feel so attached to them. I appreciated how we kept seeing different ways to play the game and it was cool to see their love for the sport. Definitely felt like teams against each other and not just characters playing. You would think that the end would make me feel relaxed but I am just hyped to watching season 5. There was nothing that let me down, it just kept getting better.

I'm glad because my favorite season was the 4th, my favorite game is Inarizaki vs Karasuno, and my favorite antagonist team as a whole is Inarizaki haha. You pretty much covered everything. Thank you for this journey, I had the chance to rewatch the show with you and reflect on some things.

First Off, KZitem not telling me about this Video and me finding out about it 7 Days late. Despite looking forward to it makes me sad. I think the back and forth between Teams is usually referred to as a Rally. I agree this was such a great season and there was so much development I loved it. Kageyama, Tanaka, and Hinata were standouts for me. I think we got the most reflection and growth from them. Inarizaki is one of the top teams in the series for me. What I love about Haikyuu is that they always other teams a backstory so it never quite feels like Karasuno is the only one that matters or the only ones who truly love the sport. Haikyuu sold over 4 Million without having anything ongoing this year so I'm hoping this means we get S5 because the series is so good one of my favorite Mangas ever. Also I love the Coach Wasijou hate. Definitely deserved 😂
