Do you think it's okay for guys to wear the taller rain boots? I really wants some because where I live it rains atleast 3-4 times a week sometimes even 7 days.
@TimHVids
8 жыл бұрын
+fabian arreguin hahahaha whats funny is I was randomly thinking the same thing 2 days ago!! I'm probably the only guy that I know that would even think to buy Hunter boots period, but I use them for rain and fishing so that's the excuse I use when dudes ask. But screw them, I dont like wearing what everyone else wears anyway. I shouldnt need an excuse. And I like when women stop me and say "wow nice boots!" So I say if you like them and it seems you have found a NEED for them which is more important so go for it!

Actually I'm not too sure. I cant remember and since I cant, I don't think the cold feeling was very noticeable if there was one.

How is the comfort? Can you feel the ground through the sole (e.g. Rocks, twigs etc.) I need a boot that I can wear on the trail.
@TimHVids
7 жыл бұрын
They are pretty comfortable. the sole is thick so you do not feel the ground. These are very rugged boots. I will say that after walking in them for hours of like 4+ they start to hurt. That probably goes for most shoes though, plus mine are getting smaller or my foot is getting larger...but I am leaning more toward the shoes are somehow decreasing in size.

What's your opinion on styling hunters rain boots with a suit? I live in Moscow , Russia, have to wear my office suit and shoes on daily basis, but 30 minute walk to train just ruin my pants (rain/dirt strains on the back of the pant). Men do not wear high boots in here , so It seems practical for me, but I care it's considered appropriate style wise. I have my office shoes in the office.
@TimHVids
7 жыл бұрын
I think rain boots with a suit are fine in the sense that you are wearing your boots to protect your feet from the rain. Like you said, the boots are serving purpose to protect your more vulnerable clothing from being ruined. Its just an added bonus that the boots are name brand and stylish too!
@dougiequick1

Thats some shit that one has a job that requires wearing a suit and apparently (?) does not pay enough where one can afford a car?
@mak1n

Doug Chaney , I do have a car. But if i go 30 min to train station, 45 min more and I’m at my desk. If I go by car it will take me 2.5 hour each way...

Did I miss it, did you talk about size? for example they do not do half sizes so I am trying to decide if I go size 10 or 11 since I am normally 10.5. thanks

Replying from a newer account. It’s crazy that this video still gets views, I love it! Ok, so these run sort of true to size, but my suggestion is to size up a half size so that you can wear thick, warm socks or double up on socks since these will be used in colder temps.

Vito yes definitely, I feel that it’s always better to have more room than less. Grow into them instead of being uncomfortable. Also, you could double up on socks this way. If you plan on wearing in the snow your feet will definitely feel it! So double socks during this time is crucial.

I bought a pair of Hunter Boots last Christmas here in Ireland and not even a year later after some light walks they are letting in water around where my foot bends. Apparently Hunter Boots have moved production away from Scotland to China and the quality of the boots has drastically dropped since the move. Because i couldn't locate my receipt Hunter customer care refused to help me. Expensive, don't last & Last pair of Hunter boots i'll ever purchase

Victor Dunne wow that sucks! And crazy that customer service won’t assist at all. I haven’t purchased any recently, I have these and a tall black pair that I got when Hunter did a collab with Target back in 2017 I think. I wear them in the rain but not sure how they would hold up in a river like this video. What brand do you think you will try next?

They are total crap. The sole wore out quickly, the rubber is coming apart and both boots actually suck in water. When I walk they make a kissing sound against the ground and my socks get soaked. I contacted Hunter and they won’t do anything for me because I ordered them from Zappos which is one of their retailers... My $7 Walmart boots may be a bit clunky but they are far better quality.
@TimHVids
5 жыл бұрын
sheesh, sucks to hear that man. I have since made these my grass-cutting shoes and got another pair of Hunters but these are the collab between hunter and Target. I assumed they would be lower quality since they were more affordable but they are great too. I think that every product line will have some faulty sets, whether its 1/100 or 1/10. Its unfortunate that you came across one. I am also very close to pulling the trigger on some walmart ones as well....
@hollywood23007

ok. I'm sure youre a nice guy and all, but cut the crap. If you actually wanted boots for a sporting purpose you would have bought at least a 15" boot....of any boot. Just be honest, you bought them for the name and fashion.
@TimHVids
5 жыл бұрын
hahahaha, yea I will have to admit somewhat. But honestly, I hate "brand insignia" on clothing, shoes are just about the only thing I can wear that will show the designer or company. I got the short ones because at this time I felt that the taller ones were more feminine...not sure why. I wanted to go with HUNTER because they seemed to be the 'IN' brand that fashionable women wore. And I like to be different as I still have yet to see a man wear these (Im in the US). I have a taller pair now, they are part of the Target-Hunter collection that came out a year or so ago. Those are pretty high, right below the bottom of the knee cap, and just wore them this morning on a random Bird-hike in the snow.
