In this video, I am hunting for some beautiful Wisconsin moonstone. This sodium-rich feldspar, anorthoclase, can be found exclusively in Marathon County, Wisconsin, near Wausau. It has an electric blue "moonstone " schiller that is visually stunning. I found this public pay to dig site on Facebook. Simply search for Wisconsin Moonstone. They are opened in the summer. You may call them for reservations on Sundays and Wednesdays. They are also open on some Saturdays for private digs. They charge $35 cash for the first 20 lb of material you collect and an additional $2 for each additional pound. I found all the workers there to be very friendly and extremely helpful. I had a great time and would definitely recommend Wisconsin Moonstone to anyone. Thank you for watching :)
