@Big Griff - Well, if you just discovered Reed, you're in for a treat. Some of the most outstanding, outrageous, spectacular extreme weather footage known to the human species awaits you, captured by Dr. Reed Timmer. Yeah, he's a wildman, but that's what it takes to record the phenomena he intercepts. But it's more than that; he's in it for the science. He knows what he's doing, and you'll learn a lot from his videos.

As long as there was a higher building on Pine Island he should be fine. He’s probably prepared as his vehicle had a lot of gas on top of it from looking at the video and he will emerge soon I would bet once the grid goes back online or he can get off Pine Island. His vehicle may have even got swept away if he didn't have it secured somewhere. I have friends in Fort Meyers Beach that said vehicles were going everywhere in the surge. @@skygge1006 agreed! We live in Cape Coral just about 8 miles from here. They eye of the storm went directly over us. It was horrible. We didn’t evacuate as the storm wasn’t supposed to hit us. By the time they realized it was coming for us it was too late. And besides, all the gas stations were out of gas anyways so there was nowhere to go. We were all hiding in a small bathroom on our house with motorcycle helmets and football Helmets on at one point. At one point we thought our roof was going to blow off. We had hurricane winds at our house for over 18 hours. Gust to 140mph. It was pure hell. Lesson learned. If it even looks remotely close to hitting us in the future we’re out of there. You can’t even get to pine island where this video was filmed anymore. The storm blew the road out at the bridge. I have lived here my whole life and can tell you this is absolutely devastating!

What happened to his car? Am new to this channel. Saw people talking about him on a different channel early this afternoon so I came over but I also had to go out for a couple of hours. He's amazing!

It got hit by storm surge. He definitely is amazing. He is by far the best storm chaser. If you just found him, you have days worth of footage of tornadoes , hurricanes, blizzards, floods, fires, you name it !!

This guy is crazy. I was wondering if we would actually get some footage of the storm surge's onset. And this guy gave it to us. Holy smokes.

Reed, you are the best and bravest. Keep safe and continue to bring us the weather phenomena you've been bringing for so many years. Tornado, hurricane, is there anything you won't brave? Repeat, keep safe man.

Nothing brave about exploiting a tragedy, he has no business being there and is risking valuable lifesaving resources for his own personal ambition.

@@Dpowell28 Reed is a researcher who has gathered a tremendous amount of helpful information about tornadoes and hurricanes to help with predicting them and how to prepare for them. Also how they behave. He's not some idiot thrill seeker, he gathers knowledge, and he has a scientific degree in meteorology. Just an FYI.

My grandparents live on PI. They just brought most of their stuff down from NY 3 weeks ago and had to pack up what they could and leave for OcheChobee yesterday. Thank you for the footage and for hanging in there for us who need to see how bad it is. You're a beast, dude. Good luck 🤞 PS: I will absolutely be subscribing today for future updates and storms. Thank you
